Yes, you can enroll in BDO Online Banking while abroad, if you have an active BDO savings or current/checking account, or credit card.
What account type can I enroll in BDO online banking?
. Peso savings account with atm card
. US dollar savings account with atm card
. Peso current account or checking account with atm card
. BDO credit card (principal card)
For other account types, like these below, you can enroll them ONLY after your BDO online banking has been approved and validated. You will link these accounts to your validated online banking account.
. BDO cash card
. Peso time deposit
. US dollar time deposit
. Trust account
. BDO housing loan
. BDO auto loan
. BDO personal loan
What is different between enrolling while in the Philippines and enrolling while abroad?
If you are enrolling while abroad,
. choose the option: Outside the Philippines
. include your country code and area code when you write your mobile phone number
(Example: 639171234567, 639054338888)
. write the city and country where you are
. preferred time to be called by a BDO officer
. You register your Philippine mobile phone no. that has international roaming service,
or a foreign-registered mobile phone that can receive texts from the Philippines.
Why is an active mobile phone no. with international roaming important?
Every time you login, transfer money, pay bills or reload your cash card, you will be required to enter your one-time-password (OTP).
Your OTP will be texted by BDO to your mobile phone.
What are the steps in enrolling in BDO online banking?
1. Go to bdo.com.ph
2. Find “e-banking” or “online banking” and “Enroll now”
3. Click “Enroll now”
4. You will see “Electronic Banking Terms and Conditions of Use”
5. Check “I have read, fully understood and agreed with the Terms and Conditions”
6. Click “Submit”
7. Fill up the Online Banking Enrollment form
8. Review what you have written and make sure everything is correct
9. Click “Submit”
10. Wait for a BDO officer to call you through your mobile phone within 5 business days.
If 5 business days have passed, and you have not yet been called, just continue to wait. Make sure that you always have your phone with you, specially during the times you wrote as your convenient times to be called. There might just be a long list of enrollees to be called.
11. Wait for an email from BDO saying that your BDO online banking enrollment is already validated.
What data items are required in the Online Banking Enrollment form?
. Your type of account (Deposit Account or Credit Card)
. ATM Card Number
. Account Number
. Account Type
. User ID
. Password
. Mobile Number
. Email address
. Challenge question 1
. Challenge question 2
. Challenge question 3
What is a Challenge question?
It is a personal question used by BDO to verify your identity.
It’s to make sure you’re really the one using your online banking account.
You will chose some personal questions from a list showed to you,
then you will write your answer to each question.
Remember your answers, so you can write the correct answer whenever BDO asks you a Challenge question.
Sample Challenge questions are:
What is your favorite PBA team?
What is your car’s plate no.?
When is your eldest sibling’s birthday?
While abroad, after you login, is this image below the one that appears? Do you see the Challenge Question option?
How Do I Enroll in BDO Mobile Banking?
Once your BDO online banking is already active, download the BDO Mobile App.
For iOS phones and tablets (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch), download from the Apple App Store.
For Android smartphones, download from the Google Play Store.
Make sure that the name under the App is BDO Unibank, Inc.
After the BDO Mobile App is installed, you can login.
Use the same User Name and Password that you use in your BDO Online Banking.

zemmetsu, About inactive Kabayan savings Aug 29
Hi! I have BDO Kabayan savings and I have used it for my remittances abroad. My last remittance was February 2014. Since then I wasn't able to remit and have withdrawn nearly all my savings as it's been more than 1 year I was unemployed in pinas. Is my account still active? I'll use it again for remittances/savings. my mobile banking and online banking are still ok. But I have no account balance.
ANSWER:
When was the last time your account had 10k pesos? I assume your account was converted into a regular account one year after your last foreign remittance – could be Feb 2014, and 10k then was required as your maintaining balance. 300 pesos is deducted every month, starting from the second straight month your account fell below 10k. The best is to call BDO: (International Access Code)-800-8-6318000 or inquire here: http://www.bdo.com.ph/contact-us
Hi i am christopher..i am trying to apply an online banking..but your system keep on saying somebody will call..but again they will reply easily saying we are trying to call you but no body answer..but truth is no body calling me
Hi. Good day. I am recently working here in saudi. Someone process my account and now the passbook and atm card is now with me. Now my concern. How can i activate my account and my card since there is no bdo atm machine in saudi. Hope to have positive feedback. God bless.
Hi TN, your account is already active. You can start sending money to your account using a BDO remittance partner. It’s your atm card that will remain inactive until you take your vacation in the Philippines and activate it at a BDO atm. Before changing your PIN, get inside the bank and ask your card to be linked to your account. God bless too. Meanwhile, you can enroll in BDO online banking while abroad.
Im just waiting for bdo to call me to activate my online banking. Can i just send just by online or do i send money outside? Thank you for the quick response madam.
Hi TN, you can send online (if your salary is given through your KSA bank account) or through BDO remittance partners there.
I meant "starting from the second straight month your monthly average daily balance fell below 10k."
good morning. im based in the US and i was locked of my account i tried calling your international toll free number but it was more of advertisement than a banking svc number and it sounded shady I didnt continue due to rampant scams and identity theft . I tried to use email but prompt says i have an invalid phone number even when entering international access code with my number. I tried to reset my password but didnt receive any passcode though i can see that the last 4 digits the bank have on my info has my US number. How do I reset or unlock my account. thank you
Hi Infinity8, try 011-800-8-631-8000 or you can write your inquiry here: BDO Contact Page or email : callcenter@bdo.com.ph. Your last option might be a bit expensive, which is to call the hotline 631-8000 just like how you call a regular landline phone no. here in the Phils from the USA — 011-63-2-631-8000
Good morning, I'm based in the UAE & enrolled on the Online Banking. Is it possible to receive notifications on my UAE mobile for every transactions done on my account/ ATM, online payment, withdrawals etc? Yesterday I did an online payment using my card, 1st time I used this after online banking enrollment & I was expecting notification regarding this transaction as I assumed BDO has that to prevent theft. So what should I do to get notifications (on email & Phone) for every transaction done on my account. Thanks
About phone or email notification for online purchases using atm cards:
This special notification service could be offered for special accounts, but I think there's no bank yet that notifies regular atm card owners through phone or email if their cards were used for online payments or for atm withdrawals. Even credit card owners are not notified when their cards are used in stores or for online payments.
There are notification systems but they're for online banking, like that of BPI. It emails the account owner of any online funds transfer or bills payment. It also offers an email notification option for a successful login. For BDO, it has 2 online banking login screens before one can enter their online system: the first is username and password, and the second one is the OTP code sent to the account owner's mobile phone or the Challenge question.
For your BDO online banking OTP, if your current phone no. with them is a Philippine phone no., you can call 800-0630-0021 (toll-free if landline) and submit your UAE phone no.
To track your account balance in UAE, you can make a balance inquiry at an atm there (Mastercard or Visa-linked, depending on your card). Charge is 1 US dollar per inquiry.
Hi good am, nagkamali po ako ng pag enroll nasa abroad po ako pero naka select yun within ph sa dec pa po ako makakabalik ng ph pero ang notify sa email within 45 days, nag try ulit ako mag enroll as in abroad pero di na pwede kasi enrolled na daw pahelp naman po

Gabriel Famoso, about enrollment in BDO online banking September 20, 2015
Hi good am, I made a mistake in enrolling. I'm abroad but I selected within ph. It will be in dec when I'm able to get back to the Phils and I was notified by email to activate within 45 days. I tried enrolling as one abroad but I was informed I was already enrolled. Please help po.
Thanks
Hi Gabriel, wait for 45 days or more to pass and for your enrollment to be cancelled by the BDO system. Then enroll again and select "outside the Phils". Or it might be better to enroll (within the Phils) a week or 2 weeks before your vacation so you can activate your enrollment at a BDO atm in the Phils. Another option is to call BDO and request for cancellation of your online banking enrollment because you mistakenly checked "within the Phils" and so that you can enroll again. toll-free: International Access Code-800-8-6318000 (maybe with fees if mobile phone is used). Direct to hotline, maybe costs more: (+632) 631-8000

Alex George, about enrolling in BDO online banking while abroad
Hi what's the phone number in pinas that I can call. Can't contact 8008631800 from my cp. I don't have landline. I want to enrol in online banking. Whenever I submit, an error occurs because I don't know the Marketing Referral Code. I live here in Barcelona, Spain. I asked people at CBN but they don't know anything about it. The others told me I filled up a wrong BDO form.
ANSWER:
Hi Alex, if you're using Telefonica, dial 00-8008-6318000. If using your cp, dial +632-631-8000. You can also write your inquiry here: http://www.bdo.com.ph/contact-us
When enrolling for online banking there abroad, check "Outside the Philippines". I hope you can comment again.
Hi. I'm Judith Soñas, presently working here in Japan. I went to the Philippines last february, this year. I opened a BDO kabayan Savings Account with passbook only. I don't have atm card. Then after a week, I went back here in Japan. Until now I'm afraid of sending money to my BDO kabayan savings account because there is no assurance that the money was safely deposited on my account. Are there any possible ways that I am rest assure that all my hard earnings will be safely deposited in my account? By the way, I have my passbook with me here in Japan?
Hoping for your response. Thank you in advance.
God bless.
Hi Judith, send only through a BDO remittance partner. Here's a list of BDO remittance partners. Keep your receipt. You can track your remittance by using this BDO Remit Status Inquiry. If you like, you can enroll your account in BDO online banking. Choose "Outside the Philippines". Or you can enroll and validate your enrollment when you take your vacation again here. God bless too
Hello… can I change my pin code here in dubai using CITI bank/HSBC atm machine… I already enrolled my account but when I tried to open in the BDO app it keeps saying my account is locked and I tried to follow all the instructions but it's always the same…
Hi Jyovhie, sorry, no, you can't change your PIN there in Dubai. It should be at a BDO atm here in the Philippines. Have you validated your online banking enrollment at a BDO atm machine here before? Or did you enroll while in Dubai and BDO called you for validation? Your enrollment should be validated before you can use online banking
Maám Nora, I am in Bahrain and I just enrolled in online banking, I wanted to get a statement of account but it shows no results found. Is it because I was not able to activate my ATM card in a BDO ATM? Kindly help.

Hi Jyovhie, sad to say, no, you can't change your PIN there in Dubai. BDO pin change can only be done at a BDO atm machine here. You can ask your inquiry here: BDO Contact Page

hi im nicky
I would like to ask if possible i can activate my internet banking with my kabayan remittance..because i forget to activate in atm machine in Philippines. i am here now in Kuwait and i want to send money to my family through online..
please help me looking forward to your answer;
thanks and regards
Hi nicky (lourd03), if you enrolled in BDO online banking but failed to activate via the BDO atm machine, then wait for your pending registration to expire, and then enroll again while you're in Kuwait. Choose "Outside the Philippines." After you submit your enrollment, wait for BDO to contact you.
You can send money online to your family through at least 3 ways: 1. Enroll your family's BDO account into your online banking account, so you can transfer money to their account. BDO will also instruct you on how to validate your enrollment of your family's account. This is a free transaction 2. If your family's account is not attached to your account, you can use the Send Money option. The charge is 100 pesos per transaction. 3. If you have an account in a Kuwait-based bank that has online banking with international remittance service, you can send money online from this Kuwait-bank to a BDO account. Check the charges before sending.

Maraming salamat and God bless po.
Hello po Ms.Nora
i Cant receive an OTP dahil yung number ko na nakaregistered eh hindi nakaroaming….unlocked yung account ko and i need to get the otp….so paano ako makakareceive ehhhhndi po nakakareceive yung sim card ko dito sa abroad dahil walang available na roaming ung sim card ko

Hello,
My account is locked and i cant receive an otp dahil hndi nkaroaming sim ko na nakaregistered and wala talaga available roaming ung sim ko… i need to unlocked my account so how can i receive an otp
thank you
Hi Menard, you can unlock your account only by calling BDO. They've locked your account because of several unsuccessful logins, so you need to call them by phone: International Access code of the country where you are and 800-8-6318000.
You can also make inquiry through here: BDO Contact Page.
Good day,
I am currently in the process of enrolling my KABAYAN SAVINGS ACCOUNT, someone from the BDO call center asked me to send copies of my enrollment form (affixed with signatures), valid unexpired ID, and passport. Can I send these to callcenter@bdo.com.ph?
Thanks
Yes, scan them and send them to callcenter@bdo.com.ph

They've called you so it means your account is being processed. I hope you have time to inform us when you finally get your email.
Hi Ms. Nora,
I have the same situation with Rodezza. But just to add lang po i have yet to receive the email validation from BDO but i can already use my BDO mobile banking like edit profile information etc and can receive otp sms already but if i want to check my accounts it shows that my savings account is inactive. I can't check my balance. Is it because i haven't received the email validation yet that's why the status is inactive? Thank you for your help. -xyra
how can i open BDO SAVING ACCOUNT in saudi arabia??
Hi Durina, bring your iqama or passport or other valid IDs and ID picture. Here's a list of BDO remittance partners in Saudi Arabia. Ask if they're offering BDO Kabayan account opening. They will forward your papers to BDO Philippines and you will return after maybe one month to claim your passbook and atm card. You will have to activate your atm card in the Philippines before you can use it. But you can remit to your account as it will be active after BDO issues your passbook and atm card.
Hi! I need some help. I am trying for a few days now to enroll for BDO online banking account so that I can use it on Netflix as credit card, but as I filled up the form and all and tried to submit it, at always says: We are unable to process your request as of the moment. Please try again later or call BDO Customer Contact Center at 631-8000.
I am trying to resubmit for days now but still has the same problem all the time and I can't figure out what the problem is. I am using Chrome version 48 so I don't see that's the problem. I am in the Philippines.
What could be the problem? Is it their service?
Hi angelica: Sorry I'm not able to know why the response is like that. And I don't know if enrollment is currently on hold, but it should not take days. Our online banking is working. Call BDO.
But if you want to register with Netflix, you can use your BDO atm debit card if it has a Mastercard logo. Use the 16-digit no. on the card, the expiry date and the 3-digit security code at the back of the card.
Hi Ms Nora, I would like to enroll in ebanking so I can view my activity statement. The problem is wala po yung city and country where I am currently residing which is California USA. Pwede ko po bang gamitin cellphone number of my sister in the Philippines and choose "within Philippines"? I have spoke with my sister regarding this matter and she agreed with it.
Hi Shon, yes, you can if your atm card is with your sister. If you choose "within the Philippines," you activate your online enrollment at a BDO atm machine in the Phils. You will be given an activation code to enter into the machine within 45 days (I'm not sure if this is still the time frame).
Where are you in California? There's San Jose, San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego in the list. Later on, if you like to see only your balance, you can use the Challenge Question to login, so you don't have to wait for the OTP.
Hi Connie Mallari, please see my reply to Shon above
Thank you very much for your response Ms. Nora. Mabuhay po kayo!
Ms. Nora I have a question, why is it my account number in my passbook is only 10digits. In the online form should be 12digits, what I did, I put 2 zeros as additional before my account number. BDO emailed me stating that my account number is invalid. What should I do now?
Apologize, I should say invalid account status.
Hi Connie, is your account a US dollar account? If it is, you should add 01.
But if your account is a peso account, 00 is the valid prefix. But you said BDO emailed you it's invalid, and I wonder why. They announced this account number change about 2 years ago, and said that they'll make the adjustment in their records.
I looked at my passbook, and the 00 is there, so this must be a factor. Email back BDO and ask if your addition of 00 to your account number made your account number invalid, and ask if you should re-start using your 10-digit number. Or call BDO — it's faster. I hope you can update us again.
Hello ms.nora,.tanung ko lang po if a person who has my personal info like bday ,home address sa pinas, birthplace, account number, e makakapag apply ng online banking?asa macau po ako nag wowork and yung bdo remittance center dito e before ka makapagpadala sa acct. mo sa pinas kelangang mag fill up ng form,.which include nga your personal details, and i need also to have my passport photocopied with my signature,. Hello ms. nora, if a person who has my personal info like birthday ,home address in pinas, birthplace, account number, can he/she apply for online banking? I'm here in macau po working and the bdo remittance center here, before you can send to your account in pinas, I need to fill up a form, which include personal details, and i need also to have my passport photocopied with my signature. My worry is that I've read online that you can apply for online banking abroad without using ATM for activation. just fill up the form, and submit, then wait for a call from bdo. if confirmed by bdo you can use online banking, and avail the service like transferring of funds. That's my savings account. If a person wants to impersonate me, he can because he has info about me. What are the chances that the application is approved if ever. thank you po ms nora
ANSWER:
You know, you have valid observations. And I'm glad because you're wise and logical and you're thinking about these things. Yes, there are chances that identities can be stolen and used to steal money from accunts.
But I think BDO knows about these things. And they should know what to ask when they call by phone to verify the identity of the one who enrolled. They should ask information that is usually not written in remittance forms like maiden name of mother and type of last transaction, date and amount, and maybe when you opened your account and where. These are things bank officers ask me whenever I call about my account. I'm sad I cannot test BDO now because I already have my BDO online banking account.
My suggestion is that you enroll in online banking so you can be sure that it's you enrolling. And so you can protect your account, and you can check your balance. You don't even have to use the One-Time Password ((OTP, texted by BDO) if you just want to check your balance. You can just use the Challenge Question to log in. You can also then find out if their verification through the phone is good. If you use Internet cafe, be sure to log out and delete your browsing history. If you use smartphone and later on download the BDO app, always secure your smartphone.
Maybe if you have time, you can share with us later on what you find out about their verification by phone.
Hi Miss Nora,
I have been trying to register my BDO account into online banking, but until now it's never successful. It always asked for a mobile number which I already entered with a country and area code. Am wondering you might know the reason. I am base here in Indonesia.
Thank you. I am hoping for your kind advice!

how to update cellphone number abroad if i register online in phhilippines using simcard in philippines now i am using simcard here in saudi (stc Sim card)
Hi! I'm currently working here in RiyadH, KSA. Before my schedule fligt I already submit my online banking application. I also receive an email from BDO stating I need to activate my account using my atm giving me my personal code. I instructed my cousin to do the activation because I can't personally do it boz my flight will be next day. Unfortunatelt she didn't activate it for unknown reason. What do I need to do to activate my online banking? I bandly want to personally supervise my savings balance. Thank you!
Hi Shielah, did the BDO email tell you the number of days within which you should activate your enrollment? Is it 10 days or 30 days? How many days have passed? Your cousin can try to activate. And if it says the activation period has expired, you can enroll again (as if you're in the Philippines) so your cousin can activate.
If you prefer to activate from abroad, read the instruction in the post above. Ask your cousin to send you your atm card number and expiry date and the 3-digit number at the back (if Mastercard atm), so you know in case the BDO officer who will call you asks about it.
Hi, goodadternoon. I tried to enroll my BDO accnt for online banking, unfortunately, i was denied when they called me for verification for some mismatch answers. I am abroad and i already forgot some details they asked.
Is it possible to try to enroll again? Because the representative told me that i need to go to main office of BDO in makati if i want to activate my online banking. Thank you.
About failed verification
Sorry but I think your records are already tagged, meaning there's already a remark there that your answers didn't match, and that you were advised to visit their main office. When you enroll again online, any officer that will retrieve your records will see these remarks.
BDO is strict because their online banking now includes money transfer to any account of another person in any bank in the Phils. even if unenrolled. BPI's online banking does not allow this yet.
When sending to your account, use a BDO Remit partner so that you can use their website's BDO Remit Status Inquiry to track your remittance.
Good day..im presently working here in ksa at nag enroll aq last time sa bdo online banking..unfortunately may mga sagot aqong nd nagmatch during the verification of my account. Ask q lang po ung needed requirements to send through mail since i am outside the philippines..thank you
Hi Jennifer, did the officer who called you advise you to mail information? I think what they usually advise for you to go to the branch when you get back to the Philippines and ask to reset your online enrollment so you can enroll again, and validate your enrollment through the BDO atm. BDO does not do validation through the mail (it's BPI that does this). BDO is strict with online enrollment because once it is approved, you can transfer money to anyone with bank account.
Yes..she told me to mail 1 copy of the passbook or atm card,1 gov. Issued id and i forgot the other one..sabi nya i have to affix my 3 signatures with the 3rd one..i dont know if its the terms and conditions shown when u start enrolling that should be printed..sabi nya kasi i need to print something na makikita pag nag enroll sa online.
Hi Jennifer, that's great! I'm glad BDO has changed its policy. The one who commented just above your comment said that she was advised by BDO to enroll when she gets back to the Philippines. It's good the one you talked with has been updated with their new policy.
You're right — it could be the Terms and Conditions plus the acknowledgment page that is shown after you press Submit, or the last page that is shown when you enroll again.
Hello i am virginia,i ask about this iban number because my employer here in saudi they really need iban number for them to send my money at the Philippines my husband already open an account but they still find that iban number i dont know what to do can you help me please…?
Hi Virginia, explain to your employer that Philippine banks do not use IBAN. What they use is Swift code. BDO's Swift code is BNORPHMM. BDO's partner banks there in Saudi are Al Rajhi Banking, Bank Al Bilad, NCB, Alinma and Arab National Bank.
IBAN is used only in Europe, Middle East and the Caribbean. The U.S. uses Swift code and routing nos.
Hi, I want to open new account here in abroad thru BDO, i want to ask if what account should I put in "Input Your Account Information" (Account Number) what account number I will put?
Hi Kat, are you enrolling in BDO online banking? Before you enroll, you first must apply for a BDO account at a BDO branch here in the Philippines or at a BDO remittance partner's office there in the city where you are. Write where you are so I can give you a list of BDO remittance partners there where you are, if there are partners there.
Good day! I enrolled bdo mobile banking as outside phil… Waiting for call but unfortunately i failed to answer their call , it is possible that they will call me back ? Thanks
Failed to accept phone call from BDO: Try waiting for maybe a week. Then if no one calls, try doing what was advised to another BDO account owner who failed the phone verification — her answers did not match what she wrote online. She was advised to enroll again and print the Terms and Conditions, the personal data, and acknowledgment page, then sign all the pages and send to the Makati main office, together with a copy of 2 valid IDs.
Note however that when you enroll again, it might not allow you, as you already have enrolled. If this is the case, then you have to wait for about 30 or 45 days (I forgot the timeframe) until your first online enrollment is deleted and reset.
Another option is to call BDO from there: toll-free from landline: International Access Code-800-8-6318000
Good morning. I have a BDO online account and I'm plannging to transfer money to my mom. I added her account but it needs ATM activation. I have my card with me and I'm in KSA. Are there any possible ways to enroll my mom's account other than ATM activation?
Hi joymae eslao: Are you using a mobile phone number that can receive texts from the Philippines? You can use the Send Money service to transfer money from your account to your mother's account. Click "Send Money" and then "Send Money to any BDO account". This transaction needs OTP.
Hi im ruzie, currently working in Riyadh. Have my bdo kabayan savings account and I want to transfer money to my brother's account (BDO) using mobile banking application. But every time I did it says TRANSACTION UNSUCCESSFUL. What would I do?
Hi im erwin. Im here in Qatar. How to contact bdo ….what are the international area code?
Hi Erwin: if landline, dial this 0080086318000 so it's toll-free. If mobile phone, may charge. You can also dial this: 006326318000 or +6326318000
Hi good afternoon, I'm here in UAE I enrolled online banking here and it was already approved. I tried to log.in using my user ID and password but it's error. Does it mean my Account on online banking not yet activated? please advice. thank yoou and God bless..
Can I change my BDO Kabayan atm card while in Oman?: Sad to say, no. You can replace your atm card only by going to your BDO branch in person with your IDs. You should call BDO from Oman: 00-800-8-631-8000 (toll-free) or 00-632-631-8000
Hi mam,. Com
BDO online banking and BDO Kabayan account:
Hindi raw nagko-close ang Kabayan kahit zero ang balance? Totoo yon, kung nagpapadala ka sa Kabayan mo at least once every 12 months. After 12 months na walang foreign remittance, nako-convert into a regular passbook account at required na ang 10k maintaining balance.
Yes, kung closed na ang account, you can open another account.
hi po. if nag enroll po ako ng acctwhile in SG, pwede ko po bang i activate dito? may mastercard po ung atm, pwede pong international. may fee po ba yon? thank you:)
Hi jaymie: Hindi through ATM ang activation pag nasa abroad kasi walang BDO atm sa abroad. Bibigyan ka ng instruction by the BDO officer who will call you. After you enroll online, a BDO officer will call you and verify your personal information. You might be instructed to mail a document to BDO Makati. I'm not sure kung nag-iba na ang sistema nila. So enroll ka na lang then wait for their call.
Hello Miss Nora
00-632-631 8000

Hi Ms. Nora,
I am residing outside the country I already have online banking however I applied a third party (another's personal acct) and I received the accomplished form, Can my family in Phils send my accomplished form in BDO branch to activate application for the third party? What is the best thing to do, I hope you could reply.. Thanks a lot in advance…
Hi NabiSun OnlineShop: Did BDO instruct you to mail back the form to BDO? If there's no instruction, the best is to mail back the form through postal mail. This assures BDO that the form came direct from you. Other banks also prefer mailed forms rather than forms sent through other persons.
If there's no BDO address in the form, here's the main Makati address:
BDO Corporate Center
Attn: BDO Online Banking
7899 Makati Avenue
Makati City 0726, Philippines

Na-tsek mo ba yong "Outside the Philippines"?
hi good day to you maam Nora, i just want to ask you about my situation, i already have a registered account via bdo online banking but i like to registered also my kabayan account, but the problem is upon enrolling it there is no options there if i was enrolling outside the philippines or not. right now i am here in UAE and also i receive an email from them (BDO) that my application for my kabayan account was already been approved. but upon checking it on my bdo online account it was still pending and i dont know what to do next. there is no further instruction in the email if someone from the bdo will call me or not like why they did when i enrolled my first account. or if i need to go on an atm machine to validate it there but as i said awhile ago i am presently here in UAE so i cannot go to an atm machine to do that. thank you in advance i hope you can help me with my problems.
Hi Aled: There's one who commented here that he was instructed to print the acknowledgment page (the page that appears after submission of enrollment where there's an activation code), sign it, include a copy of your IDs, then send to BDO through postal mail. You can send to
BDO Corporate Center
Attn: BDO Online Banking

Hi Miss Nora, Na approve na ng BDO ang online banking ko, and upon opening my account it says there that SA/CA is inactive.. Thank you.
Hi Michelle: did you mean inopen mo yang Kabayan account mo itong May 2016? Wala pa namang 12 months, so dapat active pa ang account mo. Can you ask someone in the Phils to deposit 100 pesos over-the-counter at BDO to your account for you?
Pero wala man q ntngag na activation code.at wla dn cnbi ung tumawg s akn.ang sb lng nia is wait q daw ung email if naaprove
Try mo uli mag-login tomorrow. Yong password mo, make sure na yong pini-press mo, yon talaga yong nata-type.
Kung ayaw talaga after a week: sa abroad mo ba in-open yang account mo? At hindi mo na-activate yong atm card mo? I'm not sure kung yan ang dahilan, kasi kung ganon nga ang reason, dapat tinanong ng BDO officer na tumawag sa iyo. I'm just thinking. I hope you're online banking will become active soon.
Hi!! I have an active BDO online acc then I applied for another savings account before leaving Philippines to work here in Taiwan, I wanted to enroll my new savings account for online banking as well but the application form online just won't accept my international number so I can't proceed.. then I tried enrolling it to my existing BDO online account but I need to activate it thru atm which is impossible for me because I brought it here with me and there's no BDO ATMs here.. so what else can I do to have it enrolled?? Pls respond thank you!!
Hi jezrelle: A BDO account owner can have only one BDO online account. That's why your new enrollment was not successful. About activation of online enrollment via BDO atm machine, sorry but you're right that you can only do the activation here. I don't know if BDO accepts activation by printing the online enrollment form, signing it and mailing it to BDO Makati. You can call BDO International Access Code-800-8-6318000 or 00-800-8-631-8000 or 00-632 631 8000
Hi there Nora.
I lived in Overseas Territory. In (British Virgin Islands). I went to Philippines and came back here a month ago. When I was there I enroll online banking and put it my Philippine mobile phone. So I thought that's all done. No problem. Cause I already verify the ATM card. "Kabayan Savings Account" But not. Well when I was there I don't have many time to check it tru online Cause I was rush at that time to go to manila for my flight back here. In short I do online banking in rush. So Then when I came back here and trying to log in online to check my online banking. It didn't work. It says; I had to enter the (OTP). But I will never ever recieved OTP cause my mobile in phils didn't work here. Anyway! My question is can I enroll again? Even if I already verify the online banking using my Kabayan savings account tru BDO machine?.
Many Thanks!
Tirz
I will ask my brother to do that for me to enroll. Since he was in phils and my card is there too. And He have to activate that using BDO machine there in Phils right?
Thanks

Hi Tim: Yes, that's the problem with BDO online banking login — it requires OTP over mobile. BDO wants more security because it allows fund transfers to accounts in other banks. BPI and some other banks don't require OTPs because they only allow transfers within.
While abroad, you can still check your BDO balance using the Challenge question option. But you cannot do the other transactions like fund transfer, send money, etc.
Enroll again? Sorry you cannot have 2 separate BDO online accounts. Besides, even if you enroll while abroad, your overseas-enrolled online account will still require OTP.
Hi Tim: If you can change your enrolled mobile phone number to your brother's phone no., so he'll be the one receiving your OTP and sends it to you via FB Messenger, then you can do transactions like fund transfers.
But I realized just now that I think BDO also requires OTP to change the enrolled phone no. So this might not work. You can check it while logged in via the Challenge question. Does it work?
Thanks Nora. I've tried many times to logged in. But it didn't work. And there is No "challenge question". It only says: enter (OTP) and last digits number of the ATM card. Then another box says: (OTP) has expired. Then generate new OTP.
Hi Tirz: When you said you can't see "Challenge question," I realized you're on mobile banking. And then you said you were also instructed to enter the last digits of your atm card — there's no instruction of entering atm digits here, only the OTP. Does this mean then that BDO has a different website version for other countries?
On my desktop/PC, I can see the "Challenge question" option after log in, so BDO removed the Challenge question option in their mobile version.
In order to check, I downloaded the BDO app on my phone, and I saw the "OTP Generator" button and "Quick Balance" button. BEFORE typing my username and password, I clicked the "OTP Generator" and "Quick Balance" buttons and it said something like "Do these on Settings". I logged in, received my OTP from BDO's text, typed my OTP, and then I read this message: "Your device has been successfully activated. You will no longer be required to input SMS OTP whenever you login with this device." I have not seen Settings and haven't done anything on Settings, and yet the no-OTP-login and Quick-Balance were already activated.
Maybe you can do this later on. But you must first find a way to change your registered phone number so you can receive the needed OTP.
If you decide so, maybe you can try using a desktop PC and see if you can see the Challenge Question option there. There was an OFW one or 2 years ago who mentioned he's able to login via Challenge Question but he can only check his balance and not transfer money because of the OTP function.
Hi there Nora. Oh well I don't know how to change my mobile number registered on my account. Your right! I have to change that to receive the OTP. I trying to email them but No reply. Actually Nora. When I logged on I used computer not mobile, And there is No "Challenge question". Only OTP and 4 digit numbers it says that I have to enter. No Challenge question at all. pheeeeew…I don't know what to do.
Thanks alot
Arianne
Hi Arianne, please see the photo or image I posted above, in the article above. It's what appears after I login on my PC here. There's the Challenge Question option there in the photo. Does that not appear there abroad?
Hi Nora, Im currently working in UAE and i want to enroll my brother's account for fund transfer. I tried the process as advised but I was asked for an ATM activation. I couldn't find any BDO ATM here. Can you help me on this matter? Or is there any other option to enroll other person's account?
Hi Ms. Nora, I'm presently working here in saudi arabia and have a BDO savings and dollar accounts there in the philippines which i want to check current balances and to request statement of accounts so i can use it in my application for tourist visa during my vacation period? Thanks
Hi billy: Sorry, only those who have a checking account can use their BDO online account to download their statement of account online.
For a statement of account used for visa application, you need to go to your branch in person to request it.
You can try to enroll your account online so you can check your balance. How to Enroll in BDO Online Banking while abroad
Register your phone no. which can accept texts from the Philippines. You need an one-time-password (OTP) sent via text to complete your online banking login.
Hello again Ms. Nora, Thanks for the info. Regarding enrollment for the on-line banking; after the form was filled up do i need to send any documents to my mother branch for activation or they will activate my on-line banking thru e-mail only?
Many thanks again ma'am.
Hi again Ms. Nora. I have a comrade who's going for vacation this coming first week of march. Will they allow authorization letter to secure said statement of account? Also, will they allow me to activate my two accounts (Peso and Dollar) to online banking?
Thanks.
Hi Billy: Yes, you send a print-out of your online enrollment (the filled-up application form and the acknowledgment page) plus photocopies of your IDs. After BDO receives your mail, someone will call you for verification and further instructions.
About peso and dollar account: You will enroll the peso account first, then when approved, enroll your dollar into your first account. Only one online banking account per one client.
About authorization letter: I'm not sure if they're still strict. They've become strict with the banking secrecy law due to recent scandals. But you can try. Attach photocopies of your IDs.
Thanks Ms. Nora it helps a lot. Good that you were always there for guidance regarding these matters. God Bless
Billy
Hi Good Morning, I'm based here in Doha, Qatar, I applied "Kabayan Savings Account" back home last month, then now I was tried several times to enroll online banking (outside the Philippines, but unfortunately they're not accepting my Qatar mobile number, even it's correct.
FYI. Qatar area code (974) was included.
Please advice.
Thank you very much in advance.

Good day Ms. Nora. I'm currently working abroad. And I want to enroll my bdo kabayan account online. Or maybe I can use my mobile number abroad instead. Please help. Coz bdo making phone verification. ?. If I'll put my sister's number.

I had an acct. while I was in the PHILIPPINES, now I'm in RENO NV USA, enrolling from here doesn't work, and it's saying location no record or can not be found (USA is not in their location)? It's frustrating aside from that they don't have branch here in USA for different transactions suppose to be. They have bdo here not for depositors/clients. But for only other business.
hi good day! this is my situation, im working in afghanistan, i did not enroll my account to online banking when i was in the philippines, when i got here i enrolled, to found out that afghanistan is in COUNTRY NOT IN USE. but i continued to go on with the questions, then when i submitted it, it says that i have to expect a call from BDO. am i really going to received a call even though my country where im working is in COUNTRY NOT IN USE. hope fully this will be answered. thanks a lot god bless.

ATM card in BDO online banking: Yes, kelangan ang atm card. You will also use your atm card to activate your online banking enrollment

Why do Philippine banks continue the disgusting practice of 'Maintaing Balance'? And even penalising account holders for non-activity?
I am in Australia, my (Fil) partner and I opened a BDO joint account, a regular savings account, and trying to make arrangements to deposit from Australia at the time meant that the account-keeping fees etc caused the balance to fall below the MB level, and the bank prompty closed our account.
In Australia, this would be considered fraud or theft, by the bank.
Now I cannot easily go to the bank to reopen or revive the account, indeed, we both have to go to Phils, renew my ACR, then go to the branch to reopen.
This is stupid to say the least.
At least we can nowadays deposit via Western Union, or Orbit Remit, if we have an account to deposit into.
HI PLS. I JUST WANT TO KNOW WHY IT WON'T ACCEPT MY MOBILE NUMBER HERE IN CANADA WHEN I TRIED TO ENROLL. I'VE READ ALL THE COMMENTS WITH THE SAME PROBLEMS BUT SEEMS MS. NORA TAMBA WON'T REPLY THESE QUESTIONS. PLS. COMMENT NAMAN ON WHAT TO DO OR IT YOU DON'T REALLY KNOW WHY IT'S HAPPENING. PLS. ENLIGHTEN US. THERE ARE A LOT OF QUESTIONS REGARDING THIS. THANK YOU.

maam,
just for final clarification regarding online banking, i'm outside the country.
the BDO officer already called me so i want to make sure about the documents i need to forward.
what are those documents.
thanks,
I have applied for online banking and nobody has called me yet.
Please, I need my online banking for checking and other transactions.
I tried to enrol again but my username already exists, its aprilpobletedlr , meaning its already in your system.. it's been a week and a half already and nobody has called me yet! they said 3-5 working days!!
I tried calling the hotline but as usual, all the agents are busy!! My gosh! You should hire more people.. what if someone have stolen my card and I need to block it!
Hi April: Maybe BDO has suspended enrollment for online banking from those abroad again due to the recent reports of fraudulent withdrawals from ATMs. I hope you will be called this week.
I just want to ask, i have enrolled abroad my BDO online. I was told that BDO will call me within 5 days. It has been the 10th banking day but received no call from BDO. Any advice?
BDO online banking enrollment abroad: I noticed that complaints like yours arose these past days, so it must be connected to the recent reports of fraudulent ATM withdrawals which BDO is trying to investigate and solve. Maybe BDO has suspended online banking enrollment from abroad temporarily. Or maybe you are on a long queue of customers to be called.
They just called and I missed it.. Are they calling back? Or should I do anything?
Sad about that. I think they put your name back into the queue. If you can, call BDO: International Access Code-800-8-6318000 or 00-800-8-631-8000 or 00-632 631 8000
Hi.pls. reply Ms. NORA..BEEN trying to enroll but our phone number here in Canada is not accepted. I read 2 comments already about this and i even contacted customer service. Im from Edmonton Canada. Does it matter kung wala drop down list.ang place kac not included amg Edmonton. So desperate last year pa ako try ng try.please tulong.
Hi Princess, most likely it matters where you are, kasi previously I tried helping one in KSA whose city was not in the dropdown (we used a nearby city) and we failed. But anyway, did you use the correct format? For international mobile numbers, include the country code and area code. Do not include – or +. If your country code and mobile number is less than 11 digits, add 00 before the country code.
hello! can you help me in my case because my account in mobile banking was locked and also the number that used to registered was no where to be found and in short i cant receive also an OTP , if you have any idea in solving these problem i would be glad hearing from you?
Hi John, I hope you have solved your concern. If not yet, can you try logging into your account using online banking (http://online.bdo.com.ph) and check your mobile phone number registered. If not, you need to call BDO: if you're here in the Phils: 631 8000. If abroad: International Access Code-800-8-6318000 or 00-800-8-631-8000 or 00-632 631 8000
About changing mobile phone number: You need to activate your new mobile phone number through a BDO atm, so if you're abroad, this is not possible.
Hi, just wanna ask if i can check my account when i am abroad if i enrolled it here in the philippines??
Hi Nora. I'm having a hard time receiving opt codes since I no longer live in the Philippines and I need to make fund transfers. I've tried updating my european number but it's requiring me to go to a bdo atm machine.
Please kindly advice on how to update mobile number to receive opt codes or even other options to have a successful fund transfers while abroad.
Hello po Maam Nora.
I'm having problems with my online enrollment. I'm in Canada and online enrollment is not accepting my 16 digit account number in my debit card. They want 12 digits only. They also not acknowledge my canadian cp number despite putting it correctly. I hope you could help me. Thank you
Card number is different from account number. Account Number can be found in your passbook.
hello po! ask ko lang po about my enrollment s online banking.. nung nag-enroll ako successful sya at hintay nalang ng tawag ng bdo for verification pero ngayon nakarecieve ako ng email from bdo na nagsasabing rejected ang request ko for enrollment.. ang nakalagay n reason for rejection: SYSTEM SHOWS THAT YOU HAVE AN EXISTING USER ID.. pero yung reference number ko nung nag-enrol ako at yung reference na nagsasabing rejected yung enrollment ko is magkaiba…
Hi joan, lagi mo pa ring i-ready yong phone mo to receive a verification call from BDO, baka lang merong glitch yong system ng BDO related sa emails, lalo na kung you’re sure na wala kang online banking dati. Yong email ba from BDO is walang nakasulat na “Do not Reply to this email address”? Kung wala, you can reply to BDO and tell them that your reference number is different from the reference number they sent, and that there could have been a mistake. Additionally, add that you never enrolled in BDO online banking before, prior to your enrollment.
Good morning. I have a BDO online account and I’m planning to transfer money to my sister. I added her account but it needs ATM activation but there’s no atm machine here that can i activate it.I have my card with me and I’m in Qatar. Are there any possible ways to enroll my sister’s account other than ATMactivition? Thanks
Im using my mobile number here in qatar,im not using mobile nuber that can receive texts from the Philippines.
Hi mae, go to your BDO mobile app, and see the bottom of your screen if you can see “OTP Generator”. If you can see that, you can send money to your sister’s account using “Send Money” then “To Any BDO Account” under “Not Enrolled”. Maximum limit is 10k per day. When OTP is required during transaction, use the code from OTP generator.
I am trying to enroll my mother to my account so I can send her money as bank to bank transaction it requires me to go an atm which there is no BDO ATM here in Texas
Hi Trisha, you can use the “Send Money to an unenrolled account” feature to send to your mother’s account so you don’t need to enroll you mother’s account. Maximum limit per day is 10k pesos. Use the OTP generator on your BDO mobile app to get your OTP code when sending.
Hi. Its been a week, the bdo customer service is not calling. I have enrolled my account and waiting for the call to validate my account. What should i do? To activate my account. Im cutrently here in Dubai. I need to transfer money using that app. What is the fastest way to activate my bdo mobile bank?
From BDO: If you are not yet enrolled in BDO Online Banking, go to http://www.bdo.com.ph, click on “Online Banking Login” > “Enroll Now” to enroll your account.
hi. is it possible to open an account and joint it to the existing account of my girlfriend? she is currently in abroad?
Hi chard, sorry, no. To open a joint account, you two should go to the bank with your IDs. You will fill up and sign only one set of documents.
Hi! I have a question po. My uncle is an indian national. He wish to activate his online banking. Ma aactivate po ba yung if nasa India sya and yung account nya is savings account lang po not kabayan savings.
I-select lang niya yong “Outside the Philippines” sa start of enrollment. Tatawagan siya ng BDO within 5 days after submission of enrollment.
