Good day!
My name is Nora Tamba
I’ve some fascination with banks.
I should have been a banker.
But what I’ve studied in college and applied for 4 years after school in a production setting was not banking, but industrial engineering. For several years after, I taught English as a Second Language (ESL) and Math to refugees under the US Refugee Admissions Program, and when this program ended, I worked for an international data analysis company. While employed, I launched a small business and failed, but left with lots of lessons learned.
Over the past years up to present, I’ve been working online for a company in the USA, assisting clients, helping with transactions and contracts, writing posts, managing files and databases, improving websites and handling marketing programs. I also manage and create content for my blogs, some of which I launched in 2008, including banksphilippines.com.

Someday, I’ll build a rural bank somewhere.Ā  šŸ™‚

As the name suggests, this blog banksphilippines.com is all about Philippine banking.

My main information sources are my own experiences with banks and international fund transfers, and the websites of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas,Ā  Philippine Deposit Insurance Co. (PDIC), all Philippine banks, banks in the US, UK, Australia, China, India and other countries, regulatory bodies in other countries like the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, California Department of Business Oversight, UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and news organizations in the Philippines and other countries.

Thanks a lot for visiting.

There are realities we all share,
regardless of our nationality, language, or individualĀ tastes.
As we need food,
so do we need emotional nourishment:
love,
kindness,Ā
appreciation,
and supportĀ from others.
