If you have a debit or credit account in the U.S., you can also use the popular U.S. online remittance company Xoom. You link your account to Xoom, and then you can transfer anytime. Your recipient in the Philippines can receive your remittance in peso or in US dollars over the counter at BDO, SM Forex Counters, Cebuana Lhuillier, MLhuillierand other Xoom accredited partners. Your recipient shows only his IDs and Xoom Transaction Number.
Xoom is the service used by my employers in Florida to pay my salary every month. I usually get my money at BDO over the counter in US dollars, exchange my dollars at Czarina, and then deposit my pesos at BPI.
WELLS FARGO
You can also use the ExpressSend remittance service of Wells Fargo, one of the Big Four U.S. banks. You can use this service even if you don’t have an account with Wells Fargo. Wells Fargo started its remittance business in the Philippines since 1994. Its remittance to 15 countries grew from 2010 to 2011 by 28% to more than $1.8 billion US dollars.
