Chase Bank Philippines?
Are you looking for a Chase Bank in the Philippines, perhaps a branch or subsidiary of the U.S.-based Chase Bank?
Sad to say, there’s no Chase Bank branch here in the Philippines, which displays this logo,
where you can just enter and make banking transactions using your US-based Chase Bank account.
Chase Bank is the popular name of JP Morgan Chase Bank, N.A. , headquartered in New York City. It is the consumer and commercial banking subsidiary of leading global financial services firm JPMorgan Chase & Co.
The logo of Chase Bank is the logo you see above: CHASE and the blue octagon.

i just wanna ask. How many days before you receive wire transfer? My friend used chase bank to transfer money to me thou until today march 24 still didn’t receive it and she transfer the money march 20.
It is international transfer came from Las Vegas to Philippines.
(All Philippines date)
Hi Arreeya, I checked Chase Bank USA and it says that its global wire transfers take 3 to 5 days to arrive. Because of the lockdown situation, there might be a delay.
Hi,
I am a resident of the US and I am a depositor of Chase bank. I sold property in the Philippines and I want to know if my sister from the Philippines can deposit money to my account. If so, can you let me know how to go about it? Thanks
Hi Nenita, your sister can go to her bank (a commercial/universal bank where she has a bank account. Banks entertain only their account owners for services such as wire transfers, demand drafts, etc.) and ask about how they process an outgoing wire transfer to the US. Do they accept pesos? Or do they accept US dollars only? Do they sell US dollars? Banks will sell for a higher price than money changers, but will be safer in the bank I think (she’s already inside the bank premises), unless she’s experienced in these kinds of transactions and street-smart. Provide her with your bank details, including your bank branch’s Swift code/BIC. Your bank might have a different code for each branch or type of service.
By the way, there’s no Chase Bank here in the Philippines — I mean a Chase Bank that runs retail banking. There’s a JP Morgan Chase that does corporate and institutional banking
Can I do my banking there as well as getting replacement ATM Cards if need be. I am living in the Philippines in Tugegarao City?
Pero ang focus nila are corporations and institutions.
Hi, I have account in Chase USA. I would like to know if I could withdraw dollar from Chase Philippines. Thank you.
Hi Ching, sorry for the super delayed response. I hope you have made a peso withdrawal already. In the Philippines, I think it’s only at Citibank atms where you can withdraw US dollars. All others disburse peso bills. But you can use your US-issued atm card at Visa or Mastercard-linked machines in the Philippines. Enter peso amount — the bank will do the conversion.
I’m stuck
In the Philippines with no money and starving because yall won’t send me a replacement atm card here
Can someone email me what I can do please. fontenotnrent777@gmail is my address
Please hurry. Salamat po. Ingat palagi
Hi Brent, sorry for this delayed response. I hope you have your new atm card already. If not yet, I found this Chase page on how to request for a replacement card: Chase debit card replacement
Hi Chase Bank,
I received a cheque from US funded through Chase Bank US. Can I encash it in your Manila Office?
Hi Mourice, first, this site is not affiliated with Chase Bank. I just blog about banks. I think you call first before going to JP Morgan Chase’s Makati office (only banking office in the Philippines). 30th Floor, Zuellig Building, Makati Avenue Corner Paseo de Roxas, Makati City, Philippines. Telephone +632 8575 1199. I think Chase Philippines doesn’t do retail banking; it focuses on corporate and institutional banking. But you can call and ask.
If you have a dollar account in any Philippine bank, you can deposit your US cheque and wait for about a month for clearing. If you don’t have a $ account, ask Security Bank if you can deposit your US cheque with them if you open a peso account with them.
Hi Nora. Do you know how to encash a JPMorgan Chase Bank check here in the Visayas Philippines? My Mom received an international bank check as a beneficiary for an insurance. But we don’t know what to do on how to encash it. Do you have any advice about this?
Hi Xang, you can deposit it to your mom’s dollar account (any bank), and it will clear in about a month. In case your mom has only a peso account, ask her bank if she can deposit a dollar check to her peso account. If not, go to Security Bank and ask if you can open a peso account and then deposit a US dollar account. I’ve read this on Security Bank’s website: “To experience faster dollar check clearing, clients must have an account with the bank (PHP or USD) and the name of the payee should be the same as the bank account.”
Hello chase bank..i ask lang po. My boyfriend from california.
Thanks and more greetings.
Hi Carol, hindi po Chase Bank ito. I just blog about Chase Bank. Merong 250 or 300 pesos na atm withdrawal fee kada withdrawal.
Ma-transfer ang money from your bf’s account to your Philippine peso bank account. Pinakamataas ang conversion ng WISE kesa sa ibang money transfer companies like Remitly or Xoom or Western Union.
Hi Chase Bank,
I have a business partner/client in California and he is asking me to open a US dollar savings account through Chase bank. Here are my questions.:
1. Where can I open a US dollar savings account?
2. What are the requirements for opening a US savings account?
3. How much is the initial deposit in opening a US savings account?
4. How much is the maintaining balance?
5. Can my partner/client deposit directly from California,
and is there any charge, if so, how much?
I hope to hear from you.
Thank You!
Archie Delos Santos
Hi Archie, sorry my response is delayed. First, this is not Chase Bank’s website and I don’t work for Chase Bank, but I write about banks. Inform your partner that the Chase Bank here in the Philippines does not do retail banking — they only do corporate and institutional banking — and therefore you can’t open a savings account with Chase here. In fact, the name of the bank here is JP Morgan Chase. The building at BGC named Chase is for their BPO business (call center).
You can open a US dollar account at BDO, BPI, Metrobank, PNB or any other major bank. Usually the initial and maintaining amount is $500. Maintain $500 or more in your account to avoid penalty. Tell the bank you have a business partner in the U.S. and you’ll use it for funding your business and for transfer. If you can show them some proof, like recent money transfer receipt from your partner to you, or contract, or recent sales receipt, they’ll process faster.
How will your partner send you money? They can use Xoom. Xoom’s partner banks in the Philippines that allow remittance to a US dollar account are BDO, Metrobank, PNB and BPI. For a remittance amount of $1000, Xoom charges $7.99 if funded from debit or credit card and $9.99 if funded from a bank account. Inward remittance fees to these banks vary from $5 to around $20 per remittance.
Just in case your client wants to explore a dollar-to-peso remittance, Wise (formerly Transferwise) is among the best, popular and most trusted global remittance companies. Its exchange rate is among the highest because it does not the usual remittance method (actual sending of money), it maintains local accounts in the Philippines so it can transfer money easily at lower costs or no cost at all.
nag request ang fiance ko who now lives here sa phils. ng replacement ng card, pinadeliver nya sa relative sa US na uuwi sana this month, but unfortunately hindi matutuloy. possible ba na makapag transfer sya sa kanyang BPI account from his Chase account? How?
And about sa fee if merun magkanu kaya un specially international purchased.
I just write about banks. Puede nio pong gamiting yong US debit card nio to withdraw from most ATMs here in the Philippines. Check nio lang na merong logo ng Visa or Mastercard or Cirrus or American Express sa ATM. Merong fee na 200 to 250 pesos per ATM withdrawal at usually 10,000 pesos ang maximum amount per withdrawal. Dati, HSBC ATMs can dispense up to 40k pesos per withdrawal, not sure kung ganon pa rin ngayon, kasi konti lang naman ang ATMs nila, so hindi ko nata-try na.
About your US credit card, puede rin dito, walang fee dito, ang magcha-charge ay your US Chase bank, so ask nio na lang yong branch nio diyan how much they would charge for purchases abroad, like in the Philippines.
Another way to get money from your Chase bank when you’re here is to use online money transfer companies like XOOM (can transfer to Philippine peso or dollar account, or cash pickup) or WISE (can transfer to peso account, gives higher dollar-peso conversion because they maintain Philippine accounts to reduce transfer costs). You will use their online systems. I hope you also have your Chase online banking or mobile app so you can check your account online.
Hi just would like to ask. My dad wants to transfer from his saving to his checking with chase but every time I do it on any ATM machine it would say not authorize. So how to I transfer the money from his savinga to his checking using his chase card? Thank you
Hi Elle, are you using ATMs in the Philippines? Try a Citibank or HSBC ATM. If you can withdraw money using your father’s Chase card in the Philippines, but you can’t transfer, it means transfer is not enabled in Philippine ATMs for foreign cards. Ask your father to enroll in Chase online/mobile banking, so he can make the savings-to-checking transfer.
My daughter just got her debit atm card from Chase Bank in the US.. Would you know if I can transfer funds to her from my Landbank account via instapay or pesonet? Thank you
So okay if big amount.
Hi David, did you mean JP Morgan Securities in the Philippines? Their phone no. is +632 8575 1199
how to deposit an AUB check (Philippines) to Chase Bank in Washington Everett?
Hi Charina, that depends on the policy of Chase Bank in that branch. You can ask. But usually, US banks do not encash or accept for deposit peso checks. If that’s an SSS peso pension check, PNB Los Angeles can facilitate encashment for a fee. If this option is not viable, you can try exploring Philippine digital banks. ING accepts peso checks via mobile deposit, but I’m not sure if they now accept account opening abroad. It’s OFBank that accepts account opening while abroad, but I think it does not yet accept check deposit via mobile. It might accept check deposit over the counter at a Landbank branch (Landbank processes OFBank over the counter transactions).
Hello! I am in California and my dad is planning on sending money to me from the Philippines. He has a dollar account with AUB and I have both Chase and Wells Fargo checking accounts here in the US. What do you think is the best (cheapest and safest) way to transfer a large amount of money? Around $35k. Thank you!
Hi LJ, it’s a big amount, so the safest would be through his bank AUB. It would be a wire transfer from AUB to your account in either Wells Fargo or Chase, which are both AUB’s correspondent banks in the USA. He can just go to his branch and inquire/apply for a wire transfer to your account. As you of course know, he needs your complete banking details, and he needs to first ask how much is the wire transfer fee for $35k and if it’s processed immediately (as anything 500k and above triggers anti-money-laundering checking). By the way, the purpose of the transfer will be asked.
May i ask po if i can withdraw money from Chase Bank Phipippines with an existing account in the US? Thanks and hoping for an immediate response
Hi Shammah, if you meant withdrawing money over the counter at Chase Bank, sorry, there’s no Chase Bank branch here in the Philippines. But if you have your Chase Bank atm card, you can withdraw money at any ATM of BPI, BDO, and other Philippine banks with Mastercard or Visa logo.
I am resident in Utah and chase is my bank and I’m here in the phils for vacation where can I withdraw money
Hi Alan, there’s no Chase Bank here in the Philippines. If you brought your atm card, you can withdraw from most atm machines in the Philippines. If you don’t have your atm card, you can use WISE or XOOM. You can send money to yourself and then claim your money from BDO or any bank partner of WISE or XOOM.
Puedeng via Xoom or WISE
Hi Nora, I want to know if I can deposit php to a US chase bank account here in the Chase bank Manila branch
Hi Adrian, sorry there’s no Chase Bank in the Philippines. If you have a bank account here in the Philippines, you can go to your bank and make a wire transfer to your US account. Some banks like BDO offers only wire transfers online through clients’ US dollar accounts. Alternatively, you can send money to the US via Western Union.
hi Nora, may I ask except from Chase Bank, what bank would you recommend for Wire Money Transfer? the wire money is from Us to Philippines. And what bank should I need to use here in the Philippines is the wire transfer is from the USA? thank you!
Hi Marlon, aside from your bank which is Chase Bank, I think the best would be the US correspondent banks of your bank here in the Philippines. If your Philippine bank is BPI, BDO, Metrobank or PNB, it’s Wells Fargo, since this bank has a remittance partnership called ExpressSend with these top 4 banks. If you’re making a Chase Bank wire transfer, Chase’s correspondent banks here are Metrobank, PNB and BDO. If your bank here is BPI and you want to wire from Chase, you can also do that. If BPI and Chase are not correspondent banking partners, an intermediate bank (or a third party bank) will be used.
thank you so much for the information Nora. That’s a big help…
Hi my Aunt is in Manila and she wanted to withdraw money thru her chase credit card. Where should she go? or inquire on how she can withdraw?
Hi Ed, if your aunt wants to use her credit card to withdraw money, then she’ll use her card’s Cash Advance feature. This means she can use her credit card in any Visa/Mastercard-linked ATM here in the Philippines. She’ll need to enter the amount in pesos and get the money in pesos, except in certain Citibank ATMs that dispense dollar notes.
Hi is it possible to open a savings account in Manila while I’m in USA?
Hi Debie, did you mean in Chase Bank Philippines? Sad to say, there’s no Chase Bank branch in the Philippines. There’s a JP Morgan Chase Bank here, but it’s not a consumer bank, it’s for corporations and institutions. If you meant opening an account in a Philippine bank while in USA, yes, you can try. If you’re near PNB in LA, you can open an account there. Another option is to open an account online with OFBank. Try also to open an account with BDO Unibank.
Kung galing ang check mo from Chase Bank in the US, that means in US dollars yang check mo. Sana meron kang US dollar account at diyan mo idedeposit yang tseke. Punta ka lang sa any bank near you at tanungin mo kung puedeng mag-open ng US dollar account by depositing money in US dollars plus a US dollar check. US$500 usually ang minimum deposit to open a US dollar account, then isabay mo nang ideposit yan.
Hi Mss Nora,
Ang kelangan lang is your name, card number, 3-digit security no. and expiry date. Sometimes tatanungin ang address mo. Amazon, Lazada, Shopee, airlines, brand stores, Google and Apple stores, software sellers, etc.
Hi Nora,
I am going to retire in the Philippines. What would be the best way to go regarding banking while living in the Philippines? I have money in my USA accounts that I would keep in the USA but I would like to access them while living in the PI.
Also, should I get a credit card from a local bank while I’m living there?
Regards,
Keith
Hi Rowe, I’m glad you chose the Philippines for your retirement. Nevertheless, I hope you’re reading up on the many challenges that foreigners usually encounter here and the problems that even locals face and tips on how to adjust to our culture and way of life here. Yes, I think it’s best to maintain your US accounts there and open a local account with BDO or BPI later on, or with a bank that has an ATM at the community where you will settle in and which has an international remittance partner. I also think that you maintain your US-based credit card, since it’s easier to resolve complaints with your US-based card, like stopping or blocking a payment, or making a refund. About choosing an online remittance company, I think the best are WISE and XOOM. My US employer and my US-based niece have been using XOOM for many years now, as remittance credit is real time. I withdraw dollars over the counter from my US$ account then exchange dollars at Eastwest Bank (currently the bank that gives the highest exchange rate). But as I’ve been tracking the performance of WISE, since I’m an affiliate of WISE, I think the better option is WISE. Reasons for choosing WISE: the high US$-to-peso exchange rate. You don’t have to find a local money changer or a bank with the highest exchange rate. And rate is locked at time of sending. You can see peso amount before you click “Send.” It’s a safer option since you can withdraw your money from the ATM already in peso, as opposed to withdrawing in dollars and carrying those dollars while looking for a money changer. The only drawback with WISE is crediting to peso account is not real time, and this is the reason I’ve not yet asked my employer to use WISE instead of Xoom. But I think I will soon. Just in case you’ll use Xoom, open a local US$ account as receiving account, not a peso account, as Xoom uses a low rate. About withdrawing from ATM using your local ATM card: withdraw from ATMs inside banks (you can ask the guard for your ATM in case your card does not come out). At malls, make sure the ATM is working (the person before you has successfully withdrawn money). And if possible, do not withdraw at nighttime, and at ATMs in places where there are no people around. ATMs also run out of money more easily during payroll days (end of the month, 15th, or Fridays and Saturdays). ATM withdrawal fee is around 15 per withdrawal. The option of withdrawing from a local ATM using your US-issued debit card should be used only for emergencies, as there is a 250 charge per withdrawal and the rate used is not favorable, and there are ATMs that do not accept foreign-issued cards. Best regards too.
You generally cannot get a credit card from a Philippine bank unless you are a Philippine citizen.
Hi Richard, yes, that’s correct. In their list of requirements, they state that foreigners who are Philippine residents can also apply, but they’ll be strict (they’ll surely look for proof of long-time connection to the Philippines, like bank accounts, business interests or properties in the Philippines.
I am in the Philippines and can’t access my account to pay my bills in the USA.
I have multiple bills to pay in the USA and have no access as you can;t verify my USA phone # here with a text.
I will have multiple late fees incudeing with you and my credit cards because of this.
What if any is the solution? I have been a customer in good standing with you for multiple years and I’m very frustrated because of your lack of access.
Why don’t you have email contact? I have tried to call the Manila branch and the number is rejeted over and over.
Hi John, this is not Chase Bank. I’m a blogger in the Philippines. I searched the Chase Bank website, and it says you can pay your Chase credit card by phone: To make a payment by the automated phone service, call 1-800-436-7958. We accept operator relay calls. You can also go to a Western Union agent, and ask if you can pay bills in the USA using Western Union. If you know the bank account number you are paying to, I think Western Union can send your payment. Chase Bank says this: For Western Union payments, please use the Code City WALNUT. Sorry there’s no Chase Bank branch in the Philippines. (Correction: I should have said there’s no Chase Bank, the consumer bank, here. There’s a JPMorgan Chase Bank here but it does not do consumer banking, it only serves corporations and institutions.) What’s here are the business processing operations of JPMorgan Chase. In case you like to send money from your US account to yourself in the Philippines, you can use XOOM.com or if you have a bank account in the Philippines, you can use WISE.com. (I’m an affiliate of WISE, by the way.)
Hello Nora,
I am is citizen engaged to a Filipina, I am seeking to set up a brokerage account in US with branches in Philippines so we can have a joint account and have funds accessible in Philippines to assist with prof of support in acquiring visa
Hi James, I don’t know of a US brokerage account with branches in the Philippines. How about asking your US bank if you can make fund transfers while you are outside the US, meaning do you need to input one-time codes sent through text before you can make online transfers from your US bank? If you can access your US bank while here in the Philippines via your US bank’s mobile app or website on desktop, then you can use Xoom or Wise to transfer money from your US bank account to your fiancee’s bank account in the Philippines. Wise transfers to a peso account only (their exchange rate is high, probably the highest). Xoom can transfer to a US dollar account or to a peso account (exchange rate is not favorable), or for cash pickup over the counter at BDO or Metrobank. Xoom transfers money real time, while Wise takes 2 to 3 days to complete the transfer.
Is it possible to link the chase debit card to paypal?
Hi Annero, did you mean Chase bank in the US? Yes, you can link it to Paypal. Any legitimate bank that can receive money transfer can be linked to Paypal.
The Question is:
Does your company in the Philippines have in your terms & conditions that you have to be married or be a family member to receive funds of 5,000 US dollars, the transfer was previously to be of 10,000 US but was told that was too much, but the 5,000 had to be changed at a different bank as they said at the branch they could not do it ?
So do you have such restrictions in your terms & conditions, YES or No?
Hi Albert, there’s no Chase Bank branch in the Philippines, so obviously you can’t transfer money to a bank that does not operate here. (Correction: I should have said that Chase Bank, the consumer bank, does not operate here. There’s a JPMorgan Chase Bank here, but it serves only corporations and institutions. It does not do consumer banking.) Banks here can receive any amount of money, as long as the purpose of the transfer and the source of the money are legitimate. Under the Anti-Money Laundering law, any banking transaction involving more than 500k pesos must be reported to the Anti-Money Laundering Council, specially if the source of money and purpose of the transfer are not clear. It’s easier if the sender and receiver have a relationship like family, or employer-employee, or school and student, property buyer and developer, etc. Remittance companies like Xoom or Wise also have their own rules regarding amounts to be sent to the Philippines.
I am a private client of JP Morgan Chase in Los Angeles. SSS advised me that my retirement benefits can be deposited to JP Morgan Chase Philippines. Please provide me with the necessary instructions on how to do this.
Hi Emelita, you can email or call JPMorgan Chase Philippines: carlos.g.mendoza@jpmorgan.com / (632) 8575-1199 and ask how. JPMorgan here does not do consumer banking; it serves only corporations and institutions, but since you’re a private client in the US, they might have services for private clients here too. If you like to consider other options, you can direct your SSS pension to your US bank, then transfer your pension to your Philippine bank using WISE, one of the most popular international remitters. It gives competitive exchange rates. Disclosure: I’m an affiliate of Wise.
If I open a Chase bank account in the US, is there a branch in the Philippines where I can do personal banking? (Like withdraw money, etc.). Just reading the posts, it doesn’t seem that way … but a local Chase bank says “they should” through Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas. Please verify.
I’m finding myself going home every year and I’d rather approach a counter or ATM to withdraw money instead of carrying cash when I travel there.
Thanks so much
Hi Jun, there’s no Chase Bank (JPMorgan’s consumer bank) here in the Philippines. There’s a JPMorgan Chase bank here, but it’s only for corporate and wholesale banking; they don’t offer consumer or retail banking. If your debit card has Visa or Mastercard logo on it, then you can use your debit card to withdraw at any major ATM here in the Philippines. There’s a fee of around 200 pesos for every withdrawal, and the usual maximum that you can withdraw is 10k pesos. The ATMs of Citibank and HSBC might allow up to 40k pesos in a single withdrawal, but they’re not many, as both of them have also stopped their retail banking here. If you come home every year, I suggest that you open a peso savings account here, at BDO or BPI (these have a lot of ATMs), just deposit the maintaining balance amount (2k for BDO and 3k for BPI; 5k is good). Activate here your ATM card, download the mobile app, and try using it while here. About 3 days before you fly from US to here, send money to your account through WISE. WISE gives among the highest exchange rates. You can see the conversion and the estimated date of arrival to your account before you actually send. (Note: I’m an affiliate of WISE) Then use your BDO or BPI atm card to withdraw money while here. Banks now here though do not easily open an account for US citizens, as there’s now the FATCA which adds reporting obligations by banks here to US agencies. So tell the banks a good reason why it’s worth for them opening an account for you.
can a chase account holder assign a beneficiary from the Philippines? how to claim? can it be transferred directly to a local bank account here? what are the requirements to claim? thank you in advance!
Hi Fifi, sorry for my delayed response. In case you still need an answer, here it is: Yes, A Chase account owner in the US can send money to a beneficiary in the Philippines from his/her US account directly to a bank account in the Philippines. It will be done via the US account owner’s wire transfer through his/her mobile app. The money in US dollar will be changed to peso and will be deposited in peso to the recipient’s account. If you like, you can mention to your US sender if he/she can use the international online remitter WISE. The WISE exchange rate from US dollar to peso is higher than rates used by many. With WISE, the sender can check how much the recipient will receive in peso before approving the remittance.
