Just go to the websites of these money transfer services, register, and transfer money from your account to a bank or another remittance service in the Philippines.

or US checking account
— Xoom remittance fees start at US$4.99. Money is

than banks’ exchange rates. My US employer is

I have a BDO account that I opened when I visited the Philippines. Is there a branch in Los Angeles that I can get an update of my account?
Hi Wilfredo, sad to say there’s no BDO branch in Los Angeles or in any other place in the US. BDO-affiliated offices there are either BDO Remit offices or BDO remittance partners. You can call BDO toll free if calling from landline (AT&T, MCI, Sprint): 011+800-8-631-8000. You can also try sending a private message here: BDO official Facebook page (with the blue checkmark)
Hi!!, today I am going to tell you about my experience when sending money to people in the Philippines. Basically I tried many apps and almost all of them gave me some kind of problems, at least from Spain they ask for a lot of verifications. In some you have to send photos of your documents such as the passport or the national identity document.
The fact is that it is very common when you meet people from the Philippines that on some occasion you need to send money.
I have used Paysend, Western Union, but from Spain at least it is a mess, I could not verify my account and I have followed all the steps, the help desk seemed terrible to me and the commissions are quite high for my liking.
I also tried Moneygram, Rewire and TransferWise and for one reason or another they did not go well, or they gave me problems or they charged too much, or they ask you a lot of paperwork to verify or when you send a couple of times they start asking you for a fee, etc.
You can try them all, many people have done well, but in my case they have not been practical or satisfactory.
The best option for me was Sendvalu. At the end of so much testing I found this service and it was extremely comfortable for me https://www.sendvalu.com
Hopefully it will be like me and if you have doubts you can ask me here.
Note: Remember that apart from the Philippines, this also serves to send money to Cuba, Colombia, Honduras, the Dominican Republic, Vietnam, Thailand, Morocco, India, Malaysia, etc.
How to deposit online on my BDO Philippines account?
Hi Evangeline, since you’re in California, you need to use an online remittance company like Xoom, Wise, Remitly, World Remit, Small World. All these are partners of BDO. Just open an account with any of them and enroll your US bank. Xoom remits instantly but exchange rate is not favorable. Wise completes remittance in 1 to 3 days, but exchange rate is the highest. I’m an affiliate of Wise. If your US bank is Wells Fargo, it also has ExpressSend. You need to register and make your first remittance at your branch.
