The following remittance partners will help you send money from Kuwait to Philippines via BDO:
Note: If you’re currently in Kuwait and you need a Philippine-based bank savings account, you can ask if the BDO remittance partner there in Kuwait is offering assistance in opening a BDO Kabayan savings account. If they offer this service, they charge a service fee. They will send your application to BDO in the Philippines, and processing usually takes one month.
You will return to the remittance partner to claim your passbook and ATM card. Your Kabayan account will be active, and you can start sending to it. Pero yong ATM card mo ay hindi pa active at hindi mo pa magagamit diyan sa Kuwait. Kelangan kasi na ia-activate ang ATM card sa BDO ATM machine sa Philippines.
Para laging active ang iyong account at hindi mako-close, you need to remit from abroad to this account at least once every 24 months. Kung more than 24 months na at wala pang foreign remittance ang iyong account, mako-convert ang iyong account into a regular ATM account (hindi na passbook at hindi na Kabayan), at kelangan mo nang mag-maintain ng at least 2,000 pesos sa account.
