Why does it seem that Standard Chartered Bank is no longer around?

Standard Chartered now has only one location in the Philippines. It has decided to focus on corporations, institutions and government agencies.

In 2016, Standard Chartered Bank, the oldest international bank in the Philippines, having operated here for 144 years, decided to focus on corporate clients. It completed the transfer of its retail operations, including credit cards, personal loans, wealth management and retail deposits, to East West Banking Corp. in November 2016. It will continue to operate as a corporate bank.

EastWest also acquired Assurance Solutions Insurance Agency and Price Solutions Philippines, providers of sales and marketing services to Standard Chartered Bank.
