57 Founding Members of China-led Bank — Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB)

The China-led bank Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) is a regional development bank that will help finance infrastructure development and improvement in Asia.

AIIB is seen by many as a competitor to the United States-headquartered World Bank and the Japan- and U.S.-led Asia Development Bank (ADB).

The AIIB will be headquartered in Beijing, China.

The 57 founding members of AIIB are the following:

The United States and Japan have not applied to join AIIB. Taiwan is not among the founding members, but it is expected to be a member later on.
