Philippine Banks Closed by BSP in 2001

In 2001, a total of 19 banks were closed by the BSP and taken over by the PDIC.
All were rural banks.
Four were cooperative banks, which are also considered rural banks.

1.  Community Rural Bank of Allen ( N. Samar), Inc.
    – Taken over by the PDIC on October 4, 2001
    – Liquidated by the court on January 31, 2002

2.  Community Rural Bank of Dingle (Iloilo), Inc.
    – Taken over by the PDIC on January 11, 2001
    – Liquidated by the court on May 10, 2001

3.  Cooperative Bank of Negros Occidental, Inc.
    – Taken over by the PDIC on November 29, 2001
    – Liquidated by the court on April 4, 2002

4.  Countryside Rural Bank (Real, Quezon), Inc.
    – Taken over by the PDIC on May 17, 2001
    – Liquidated by the court on September 13, 2001

5.  Cooperative Bank of Lanao Del Sur
    – Office at Doors 4 & 5, Waterside Living Complex,
     Julio Pacana St., Cagayan de Oro City
    – Taken over by the PDIC on June 20, 2001
    – Liquidated by the court on October 9, 2003

6.  Davao Cooperative Bank, Inc
    – Taken over by the PDIC on July 12, 2001
    – Liquidated by the court on November 15, 2001

7.  Harvest Rural Bank (Daraga, Albay), Inc.
    – Taken over by the PDIC on May 10, 2001
    – Liquidated by the court on February 7, 2002

8.  Rural Bank of Agdangan (Quezon), Inc.
    – Taken over by the PDIC on May 10, 2001
    – Liquidated by the court on February 7, 2002

9.  Rural Bank of Bugallon (Pangasinan), Inc.
    – Taken over by the PDIC on October 11, 2001
    – Liquidated by the court on January 31, 2002
