The popular BPI savings account without maintaining balance -- the BPI Easy Saver savings account -- is now called BPI KAYA Savings account. Zero pa rin ang maintaining balance requirement.
Just go to the nearest BPI or BPI Family Bank and open with 200 pesos, at least 2 valid IDs, 2 1x1 ID pictures, and 150 pesos for the ATM card or debit card.
Merong branch na nagre-require ng proof of address, so bring one bill (Meralco, phone, Cignal, etc.), or any bill that shows your address is correct and true. Kung walang bill in your name, puede ka ring magdala ng barangay certificate certifying na nakatira ka sa address mo at resident ka sa barangay ninyo.
If you have a BPI Easy Saver account, good for you. Continue saving.
Hindi na ino-offer ito for those opening new accounts.
Itong KAYA Savings account na ang ino-offer ng BPI or BPI Family to those asking about BPI Easy Saver or a savings account without maintaining balance.
Maintain at least 1,000 pesos if you want to earn interest.
Train yourself to save.
Why will you open a KAYA Savings Account?
This account is good for those who are not yet able to maintain the minimum balance requirement for regular bank accounts.
It's better to pay 5 pesos for every ATM withdrawal than paying 300 pesos a month as penalty for not maintaining the balance requirement for 2 consecutive months.
What you will do is to plan your withdrawals so you don't get deducted a lot of 5 pesos.
Use it:
. as your first savings account
. as your first savings account
. for receiving remittance from abroad
. for receiving student allowance
. for sending regular financial support to parents or other loved ones
How to Open a KAYA Savings Account
. Go to a BPI or BPI Family branch.
. Bring:
-- two valid IDs
-- photocopy of two valid IDs
-- 2 1x1 ID pictures
-- Bring also a bill with your name and address (Meralco, PLDT, or a credit card bill) just in case the branch requires a proof of address. Some branches accept barangay clearance or certificate as proof of address.
- For students, bring extra documents, just in case the branch requires more documents:
-- your school ID
-- current registration card or enrollment card
-- NSO-issued birth certificate
-- barangay clearance or certificate, or any proof of your address (bill in the name of your father; your birth certificate shows your relationship)
If the branch is strict, inquire at another branch. Or at an Express branch at a mall.
Or simply go to another bank. There are a lot of banks. And if you have time, please comment here or on other banking blogs about banks and bank branches that require lots of documents.
. Pay 150 pesos for the Express Teller ATM debit card.
. Deposit at least 200 pesos.
Remember! NO Maintaining Balance Pero Merong Fees
Dahil libre ang maintenance, merong bayad (5 pesos for every transaction):- BPI ATM withdrawal
- BPI ATM balance inquiry
- Online fund transfer
- Mobile fund transfer
- Online bills payment
- Mobile bills payment
- Online phone loading
- Mobile phone loading
Obvious na advice: If possible, don't withdraw from a non-BPI bank para hindi matriple yong withdrawal fees mo.
Warning!: Huwag hayaang mag-negative balance ang KAYA savings account mo! Kasi your account will automatically be closed.
Bakit magne-negative?
What if I only have 1 valid ID?
Be on the lookout for BPI KAYA savings account opening promos in schools, supermarkets, malls, fairs or other events. Usually, during promos, BPI officers accept only 1 ID. Try also applying at BPI Express Centers in malls or near malls.
BSP has ordered banks to offer Basic savings accounts
Maybe later on BPI will even lower the minimum initial deposit amount for KAYA to less than 100 pesos to comply with the new BSP order for banks to offer BASIC savings accounts to serve the unbanked.
The BASIC savings account described by the BSP will have these:
Initial deposit: less than 100 pesos
Maintaining balance requirement: None, zero, wala
Dormancy penalty: None, zero, wala
Pero merong maximum balance: 50,000 pesos
(para hindi i-take advantage ng mga can-afford naman to maintain regular savings accounts)
Incentive for banks to offer this type of account: preferential 0% reserve requirement for BASIC accounts to reduce maintenance costs

Hi, when opening an account with easy saver, do u still check your adverse list? I was declined by another bank because of this. And what can i do to be able to open a savings account. Thanks
ReplyDeleteAbout banks' adverse action notice list or negative list : Sorry I don't work with BPI. Try to apply for an Easy Saver account. Then if they deny you, try other banks. Try a smaller savings bank or a rural bank; I think many smaller banks do not yet have access to the negative lists of bigger banks.
DeleteRegarding bpi express teller napalitan ko ung pin dun sa sinabng date kung kelan need palitan successfull nmn nung mag change pin ako. Ngaun nag wwidrw ako lumalabas error pin lenght/invalid account type/no account possible po ba na nka deactivate ung card ko?
DeleteAbout BPI Express Teller PIN change October 30, 2015
ReplyDeleteRegarding bpi express teller, I changed my pin within the change-PIN period, and it was successful. Now I am withdrawing, and this error appears: pin length/invalid account type/no account. Is it possible my card was deactivated?
ANSWER:
Try balance inquiry, and if your balance appears, this means you're allowed only for balance inquiry for the meantime. Call BPI 89-100 so you can confirm to them that it was you who changed your PIN. Be ready with your account no., other personal info, and the date and time when you changed your PIN.
I've been a BPI account owner for years, and when I changed my PIN recently, I also had to call BPI before I could withdraw.
Hello po. I'm planning to open a BPI account po but I cannot finalize what type of PBI account must I open. Ano po ang mas maganda BPI Easy Saver or BPI Express Teller?
DeleteAsk ko lng po kung pde mag withdraw for example 250php, 220php or 270php s easy savers account? Thank you.
ReplyDeleteAbout withdrawing 250php, 220php or 270php November 2, 2015
ReplyDeleteCan we withdraw for example 250php, 220php or 270php from our easy savers account? Thank you.
ANSWER:
From the atm machine, no, you cannot withdraw those amounts because the smallest bill in the atm is the 100-peso bill. There's no 20-peso or 50-peso bill in the atm machine.
If you withdraw over the counter, you can withdraw those amounts, but you will pay a fee because your account is atm-based.
If you like to use your balance including the cents, you can use your atm to pay your purchase at a store or supermarket that has a Megalink or Express Net swipe system.

ReplyDeleteNovember 3, 2015
Need your help po. Here at bpi, why do they require a tin number. I don't have it. It's a requirement here at bpi tanza cavite. Help po
ANSWER:
Hi Kimberly, check this BIR Eregistration from time to time, and if this page is active again, apply for your eTIN online.
Banks require TIN because they use it for the 20%-withholding-tax that they deduct from interest earned.
Some banks do not require TIN if what you present is a student ID with current school registration card.

ReplyDeleteMay I ask about bpi xpress international. What if my remittances are not deposited to my account? Or what if one remittance does not get credited? Is there a way to remedy it? But there's a receipt per transaction. By the way, I have not changed my PIN for 2 years. But I have been depositing frequently to my account. Thanks a lot po. god bless
ANSWER:
Are you using a BPI remittance partner to send money from Kuwait? Remittance is better with partners.
Enroll in BPI online banking so you can check your account balance. Prepare your user name and a strong password. This is how toenroll in BPI online banking while abroad. When successfully enrolled, always logout after using, and if using public computers, always clear history.
If later on you use a smartphone for your online banking, it's advisable that you do not activate the Send Money to an Unenrolled Account. Anyway, this cannot be activated while you're abroad because the activation is completed using a BPI atm machine.
Hi! I availed easy saver last nov 11 in our school. The assistant said that i can only change pin on the dates of nov 17 and 18. When I read the letter they have given me, it says 2 banking days. So I change my pin Nov 13 but transaction not allowed. Then day 18 came, I also change the pin but in BPI not in family savings bank because I don't know where I could change the pin, it also said that the transaction wasnt allowed and i have no record in bpi. So today this morning, I changed my pin in family savings bank but again, transaction not allowed. I insert the card again for the last time to change the pin and it says, pin incorrect. What should I do??? I hope you understand me and thanks you if you will answer me. :)

About the need to make a balance inquiry before withdrawal:
ReplyDeleteDo we need to perform balance inquiry before withdrawing from an atm machine?
ANSWER:
No, you don't need to make a balance inquiry. You can withdraw immediately. But if you are withdrawing from atm machines very far from your place, or if it's night time or weekends/holidays, it is wise to make a balance inquiry first, in case the machine is out of order, or in case there's a glitch.
Is this still available?
ReplyDeleteYes, you can open this account at a BPI or BPI Family branch. Bring 2 valid photo IDs, TIN, and 2 id photos. Some might require proof of address, so bring any bill in your name and address.

I was intending to use it for sending my wage to my mom because I thaought my mom's account is not acceptable in my employer. however my mom's account was accepted by my employer thus the remittance goes directly to her account nalang. Good day Ms. Nora,
Thank You! God Bless!
Hello, no, it's not exclusively for students. Easy Saver is for anyone who is not yet able to maintain a certain amount of money in the account everyday, as long as he/she has valid IDs to present. Because it does not require a maintaining balance, it charges 5 pesos for every atm withdrawal and every balance inquiry.
DeleteHowever, I think BPI will ask certain questions if you open an Easy Saver as a payroll account.
Thank You so much for the information. Advance Happy New Year! God Bless....

ReplyDeleteAnyone familiar with old peso bill policy please comment below. Here is the story, I just came from BPI, Marian Fairview branch. I have an old peso bill, while I'm doing my withdrawal transaction, I apologently ask the teller 1 if I can exchange my old peso bill, to my surprise she said sarcastically "Hindi pwede, hindi ka ba aware sa new policy? Ang pwedeng lang ay ideposit!" I said to her " Ay, hindi po kasi sa news lang ako nag re-rely sabi nila pwede pa daw ipapalit sa mga banko pagdating ng 2016, so ang intindi ko pwede pa, nun pala deposit lang pwede." And suplada siya ha! Although it is only 50 peso bill mahalaga pa rin yun kasi kung ideposit ko siya sa atm account ko, hindi naman naglalabas ng 50pesos ang mga atm. And mind you if mag withdraw ako sa atm may charge na 5 pesos every withdrawal sa any bpi atm. MY POINT IS, HINDI BA PWEDENG PALITAN OVER THE COUNTER TUTAL MAY ACCOUNT NAMAN AKO SA KANILA at HINDI BA PWEDENG I APPROACH NG MABUTI ANG CLIENT! Haist! First Monday of the New Year and first bank transaction of the New Year but so disappointed.

ReplyDeleteShanelle Marquez Bartolome, about maintaining balance for BPI Express International January 23, 2016
ReplyDeleteIt has been almost 2 months that my atm has only P0.75. Will it close? If it's closed, what should I do? Especially now that my aunt sent me money from Kuwait. How much is the maintaining balance for BPI express teller international?
ANSWER:
Is your account a BPI Easy Saver account? If yes, your account is active. Easy Saver does not require a maintaining balance.
Is your account a regular atm savings account? If yes, you can reactivate your account if it's already closed.
Make a balance inquiry using your atm card. If your account is closed, you will see "Account is closed" or "Account is inactive". Visit your BPI branch and reactivate it. You will pay 300 pesos to pay for the below-maintaining-balance-penalty. Deposit also some money.
The maintaining balance requirement for a regular BPI atm savings account is 3,000 pesos. If you like BPI but you cannot yet maintain 3,000 pesos, open an atm savings account at BPI Family -- maintaining balance is only 1,000.
Hi, good day. I have an Easy Savers Account and I enrolled it to the BPI Online Banking System. The app says I have two different balances po. Available Balance and Total Balance. Total Balance has 500 pesos more than Available Balance. Can I withdraw that balance using ATMs po? Cus I heard that Easy Savers has 0 maintaining balance.
ReplyDeleteAvailable balance
DeleteYou can withdraw up to the available balance only. Usually banks put on hold 300 pesos or more for newly opened bank accounts in case account holders close them less than one month after opening. After one month, they make this 300 pesos available for withdrawal.
there was a remittance sent to my account last friday totaling to P16,500 ... available balance at that time was 18,500 ... i withdrew around 8,500 (in 2 withdrawals) ... yesterday however, when i checked my account, total balance was 10000 while available balance was 0 ... what seems to be the problem? i tried calling BPI but their network is busy

ReplyDeletecan we ask bpi to issue general atm card whose minimum balance is p500~p3,000 ?
ReplyDeletecoz i don't want to deduct p5 whenever withdraw from bpi atm machine.
i think only bpi atm card is charged p5 even if using bpi atm machine.
Hi Toro Pical:
DeleteYes, you can. You can open a regular BPI atm savings account (the one which has a 3,000 maintaining balance requirement). With this atm card, all your BPI atm transactions are free and all your online fund transfers/bill payments are free.
BPI Family offers a lower maintaining balance for its atm-only account -- only 1,000, and you can use BPI and BPI Family atm machines for free.
The BPI Easy Saver account imposes a 5-peso fee for atm transactions and online debits because it does not require a maintaining balance.
The BDO cash card also charges fees (over the counter deposit and atm withdrawal) because it does not require a maintaining balance. Easy Saver does not impose a deposit fee.
But if your Easy Saver is your payroll account, then ask your company if you can open a new account, a regular account, for your payroll. Some companies choose this Easy Saver for payroll so they can save on big maintaining-balance requirements.
about bpi banking online;
ReplyDeleteif we used bill payment, is p5 charged evrytime?
Hi Toro Pical, yes, sad, but they do this to compensate for the zero-maintaining-balance offer.
DeleteIf your Easy Saver is a payroll account, you can open another regular BPI Family savings account (only 1k maintaining balance), then everytime you receive your salary, transfer all your salary to your BPI Family account (5 peso charge), then you can do your many other transactions from your BPI Family account for free, online or via BPI atm.
thank you for exact reply.
Delete---in case of bdo atm card ?
i lately got debit card whose minimum balance must be p2,000 issued by bdo.
how about charge of using atm transaction and the banking online to use paybill or something ?
Hi Toro Pical, with that account, there's no charge if you withdraw or make a balance inquiry at a BDO atm machine. Online transactions like balance inquiry, fund transfer to an enrolled account, bill payment, phone reload, cash card reload are all free.
Deletethank you for rapid reply.
ReplyDeletelet me ask more questions.
1.can i return easy saver w/free charge ?
i like to get regular saving atm card.
2. anyone can apply for bpi family saving card ?
minimum balance p 1,000 is attractive,. if it's no charge to use atm transaction and no charge to use banking online transaction such as paybill.
regards
Hi Toro Pical:
DeleteYes, anyone who can present at least one valid ID, can fill up the opening forms and can pay the initial deposit can open a BPI Family atm savings account.
Yes, atm transactions at a BPI or BPI Family atm and BPI online transactions are free.
Wait for at least one month from opening date before you close your Easy Saver. You can open a regular atm account even if you have an existing Easy Saver account.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

Is it a reason that i dont leave balance on my payroll account (is this ok?) so the remittance is not credited? Or is there a certain time before i receive the money? Will I be charged a fee for receiving money from abroad? Thanks po, hope to hear from you soon.
ANSWER:
Hi Mico, I hope you got your money already. Yes, there's an inward remittance fee that will be deducted.
Since your account is a payroll account, it's okay that you don't leave any amount. It's also an Easy Saver -- it does not require a maintaining balance.

ReplyDeletehi po teh Nora. I have saving account at BPI. My aunt in Australia sent money using my BPI savings account. Is this possible? If possible, why does the machine reply ACCOUNT NOT AVAILABLE whenever I inquire to see my aunt's remittance? really need your help po
ANSWER:
Hi Mary Kristine, is your account Easy Saver? Do you have some money in your account? There's a charge of 5 pesos for every balance inquiry, so if your account has zero balance, it does not process your inquiry. Deposit maybe 100 or 200 pesos, or wait for some more days before you inquire. By that time, your aunt's remittance should have been credited. There's also a charge of 5 pesos for every withdrawal.
yes po my account is easy saver.. may savings din po akung 200.. pero yung tita ko nung thurs. pa po sya nagpapadala sa akin, pero nung nagtry po akung mag inquire sa current account ko "ACCOUNT NOT AVAILABLE".. is it normal po na mag.appear sa machine na account not available if wala pong laman ang account ko?

ReplyDeleteyes po my account is easy saver. I have savings worth 200. my aunt sent money last thurs. but when I tried to inquire my current account, it's "ACCOUNT NOT AVAILABLE". is it normal po that the machine shows account not available if there's no balance?
ANSWER:
Hi Mary Kristine, did you press "CURRENT"? You should press "SAVINGS". Try again and press SAVINGS. CURRENT is for checking accounts.
About no balance: I'm not sure what the machine says if it's zero balance, but I know that it will not process because it needs to deduct 5 pesos for every balance inquiry and 5 pesos for every withdrawal.

ReplyDeleteHi Twin Flame Lover, I think I've replied to your question in another post. But if not, sorry for the delayed response. Yes, I think so. Easy Saver is a regular savings account so you can link your Easy Saver to your Paypal. You can then transfer your Paypal money to your Easy Saver after successful linking.
DeleteI meant Easy Saver as "basically" a regular savings account, although it's special in a way because it does not require a maintaining balance.

It's most likely your account is Easy Saver because you applied for it. A debit card is basically the same as an atm card. BDO's atm savings card is named BDO ATM Debit Card. If you make an atm withdrawal or a balance inquiry and you get a 5-peso deduction, that means your account is Easy Saver.
I meant if you make a withdrawal or balance inquiry at a BPI machine. You'll get a bigger deduction if you use a non-BPI machine, right?
DeleteIf there's no deduction at all, your account could be a regular atm savings account, and you need to maintain a balance in your account (1k for BPIF or 3k for BPI). If this is so, then go back to your branch and ask.
ReplyDeleteRG II March 25, 2016
ReplyDeleteHi can I deposit to BPI and BPI express? bpi family po is my account
ANSWER:
Hi RG II, no. If your account is BPI Family, deposit at any BPI Family branch, not Bank of the Philippine Islands or BPI. If you deposit through cash deposit machine, deposit at a cash deposit machine inside or near a BPI Family branch.
ReplyDeleteRG II March 25, 2016
Is it okay that another person will deposit to my easy saver account?
ANSWER:
Hi RG II, yes. Any person in the Philippines or abroad can deposit or send money to your Easy Saver account. Just tell them it's BPI Family, not Bank of the Philippine Islands or BPI. BPI Family and BPI are different banks, although BPI Family is a subsidiary of BPI.
By the way, anyone can deposit to your BPIF account anywhere in the Philippines without paying an interbranch deposit fee. It's free.
ReplyDeleteHello po. Can i deposit my maneger's cheque from bdo to bpi? Tsaka my bpi international ATM card is 2 pesos balance from january until now.. active pa kaya yong account ko? Salamat po.
ReplyDeleteHi sunsue , yes, you can deposit your BDO cheque to your BPI account. If your BPI account is Easy Saver, yes, your account is still active. If they accept your deposit, it means your account is active.
ReplyDeleteHi Nora, I am aware that for every ATM withdrawal, Php 5 is deducted from my account. However, I got surprised when I recently had a Php 98.71 service charge on my Easy Savers account thus leaving me with Php 0. Would you know why this amount was deducted? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHi Evinia, I'm puzzled that your service charge has cents, that it's not a whole number, like 98 or 99. I'm thinking that the charge should be higher, maybe 100, but because that's your only balance, that was the amount deducted. But I don't know why a 100 would be deducted. Sorry I can't think of a reason right this moment, so it would be best if you call 89-100, and maybe you can comment again here. I'll also research about other Easy Saver fees.
Deleteis easy saver also considered as an express teller card? kasi po diba may promo minsan for debit card holders. is it included? thank you
ReplyDeleteEasy Saver as a debit card or Express teller card
DeleteYes, the Easy Saver atm card is considered an Express teller card or a debit card. Yes, you can join promos like the on-going EPS promo.
I changed my pin for activation but the atm machine did not show a confirmation message that I successully changed my pin, instead it asked me if I want a receipt then I answered YES and then it just released the receipt and the card. So my question is,did I successfully changed my pin or not? This is a BPI Debit Card.
ReplyDeleteHi alex, I think so. What I know is that there should be confirmation, but there could be a change or a glitch. You can try making a balance inquiry using your new PIN (one time only), and if not accepted, get back your atm card, and try using the default PIN given to you, and if accepted, that means you were not able to change successfully previously, so change your PIN for the second time.
DeleteJoel Balladares, overseas remittance to Easy Saver April 27, 2016
ReplyDeleteHi, can a remittance from abroad be sent to a bpi easy savers account?
ANSWER:
Yes, a BPI Easy Saver account can receive a remittance from abroad.
Your sender should write correctly your account name, account no. and bank name.
marvin legaspi, atm balance below 300 April 27, 2016
ReplyDeleteIs it okay if my atm balance is below 300?
ANSWER:
Hi marvin, yes, if your account is BPI Easy Saver. Easy Saver does not require a maintaining balance.
But if your account is a regular account (not Easy Saver), and your balance stays below 300 for 2 straight months, your account will be charged 300 pesos, and then your account will automatically close because your balance has become negative.
Hello ,Im here in Saudi ,where can I open bpi easy saver account here and how much for the opening account?
ReplyDeleteAbout opening a BPI Easy Saver account:
DeleteSorry BPI does not yet allow the opening of BPI accounts overseas, except at BPI's London branch where they give assistance. You can open with 100 pesos as initial deposit and 50 pesos for the card, but you must apply at a BPI or BPI Family branch here in the Phils.
About payroll account not used for a year
ReplyDeleteHi ms nora. I have not used my bpi for payroll account for a year. I checked online and the .78 was still there. Can I still use this if someone sends money to me? Thanks po.
ANSWER:
If this is a BPI Easy Saver account, then surely, your account is still active, and yes, you can use it to receive remittance, and for savings, even if you haven't used it for a long time and even if your balance is zero.
If it's a regular atm account and not Easy Saver, your account is still tagged as payroll account, so it's not yet closed even if your balance is .78. Yes, you can use it to accept remittance. But your account will be converted into a regular account once the bank sees that it's no longer a payroll account.
Hi goodmorning question lng po i have bpi savings since college 2011,na stop ko sya gamitin mga 2years ago until now..pwd ko parin po ba sya hulugan kasi as far as i know 30 pesos nlng po aintaining balance nun.. Mahuhulugan ko pa po ba atm ko? Or my expiration po un??? Thankyou.
ReplyDeletejade sheilu bañas, about inactive atm account May 22, 2016
ReplyDeleteHi goodmorning, question po. I have bpi savings since college 2011. Stopped using it about 2 years ago until now. Can I still deposit to my atm? As far as i know, 30 pesos was its last balance. Or is there an expiration? Thankyou.
ANSWER:
Hi jade, is your atm account Easy Saver? If yes, you can continue depositing.
If not, and it's a regular atm account, your account is already closed. Don't reactivate it, as you would only waste your money for penalties.
Hi, po. I am a student who has a BPI express teller ATM. Tonight at 08:07 p.m, I tried to withdraw a 300-peso cash from my savings, but there was no money that came out from the machine. I am very sure that I still have enough money on my savings. Now, may I ask why is it that the machine did not dispense money, instead there was a receipt given. On the receipt it was a written "TOTAL BALANCE AMOUNT HINDI MAAARI". Again, I am very sure I still have enough balance on my savings.
ReplyDeleteI am hoping for your response. Thank you!
minimum atm withdrawal
ReplyDeleteWhere did you open your account? If BPI, the minimum atm withdrawal amount is 500 pesos. If BPI Family Savings, the minimum atm withdrawal amount is 200 pesos.
If it's Family Savings but your balance is exactly 300, it will not be dispensed because there should be extra 5 pesos to pay for the withdrawal fee. By the way, I'm surprised BPI uses vague Taglish in its atm instructions.
ReplyDeleteNicole Kenneth Navarro May 28, 2016
ReplyDeletehello po. how many days before we get the atm? and how many days before we can use the account?
ANSWER:
I think the atm card is given upon application approval. Each branch or express office has the device to emboss the name of the account owner on the atm card. Usually, the third day. Change your PIN the next day, and then use it the following day. Or if the SOP has changed, change the PIN immediately after opening, and then use it the next day. You can deposit money immediately over the counter upon account approval and encoding into the BPI system.

ReplyDeleteCan we send cash bpi to bpi online and bpi to other bank online?
ANSWER:
BPI to BPI -- yes. BPI to other banks -- NO. If you're using desktop, you need to enroll the other BPI account so you can transfer from your BPI to the other BPI account.
To send to an unenrolled BPI account, use your smartphone. Download the BPI app. BPI to Unenrolled BPI Account

DeleteYou only need your smartphone if you want to transfer to an unenrolled account.
If you don't have a smartphone, enroll the other BPI account that you plan to transfer so you can transfer even without BPI mobile banking.
can i enroll it on computer/laptop without smartphone?
ReplyDeleteYes, you can enroll your Easy Saver in BPI Express online banking using your PC or laptop. You don't need to have a smartphone.
Deletetutorial please on BPI Express online banking with pc/laptop..thanks
ReplyDeleteHi wuxiaspear, just go here and follow the steps. You can do it: BPI Express online banking enrollment Have your atm card with you. Later on, you will need to activate via ATM.
DeleteHi. Is there a possibility to be closed or active pa din at hindi sya nabawasan? Pls response. Ty.
ReplyDeleteEasy Saver still active? May 31, 2016
ReplyDeleteHi. It's been more than 8 months I did not deposit to my easy saver, but it has a balance. Is there a possibility to be closed or is it still active and there's no deduction? Pls respond. Ty.
ANSWER:
Your Easy Saver is still active. It does not require a maintaining balance, so it is not closed easily. There's no penalty. Just make sure to deposit or withdraw before 2 years will pass.
Hello! My easy saver is dormant. How can I have it reactivated? Can it be reactivated by just depositing or do I have to go through other process again? Thank you.
ReplyDeleteHow long has it been dormant? If it's dormant, your deposit will not be accepted. You need to go to where you opened your Easy Saver with your IDs and ask if you can reactivate it. Ask if there's a dormancy penalty. I'm not sure about the dormancy penalty as this is a zero-maintaining balance account, so you ask BPI.
DeleteHi, my account was dormant too. I Just go to my branch of account then request to reactivate it. I filled out the same form in opening of account. Presented 2 valid ID, government and company ID, my NSO marriage contract (for updating my status from S to M) and my ATM. I paid 100+ for the dormancy penalty and renewal of my ATM then i deposit any amount. Within the day they activated my account. Hope this help :)
DeleteHi CatFuzion, thank you very much for helping out. I'm so glad you shared helpful information and you described them well. Your answer is the best because it's based on experience. Thanks a lot! Yes, surely this will help :)
DeleteI, too have a dormant easy saver account and the teller told me to have it reactivated at my branch of account. What if my branch of account is far like say I'm currently residing in Cavite and my branch of account is in Baguio. I don't have the time and money to travel just to have it reactivated. So, my question is, can I apply for another easy saver account instead, under the same name in a branch where I currently reside? Thanks so much. :)
ReplyDeleteIs your Easy Saver account in Baguio at a Bank of Philippine Islands branch or a BPI Family Savings branch? Try applying at the other bank. When you have your new account, maintain it. Make transactions. Save.
DeleteMy account in Baguio is at a BPIslands branch. Yeah, I forgot there's a Family Savings branch. Thanks for the info ma'am, I will apply at a BPI Family Savings bank here in Cavite instead. Will make sure to maintain it from now on. Thanks so much! :)
ReplyDeleteAbout student opening an Easy Saver account: It depends on the bank officer. It's always easier if an adult or your parent accompanies you, so he/she can say why you need to open an account. Is it for remittance? For allowance given to you by your parent who lives in another city? But you can also apply alone. Be respectful and speak clearly. Bring your school ID with photocopy, 2 ID pictures, any other ID that you have. Remember the bank officer wants to know that you will really use Easy Saver. There are a lot who have opened this account but have not used it, so I think that's one reason they've become a bit choosy.
ReplyDeleteGood day mam, my atm acc po ako s bpi, sinubukan kopong magwithdraw kaya lang ang nalabas ay "wala kayong record sa bangko", imposible naman na wala po akong record sa kanila, nakompromiso po kaya ang atm ko? Ano po ang dapat kong gawin? TIA sa reply.
ReplyDeleteHi, my aunty who works abroad deposited on my bpi account 3k for my tuition fee last June 1, 2016 it's already June 6, 2016 and I'm still not receiving the money. What should I do ? I tried going to the branch where I opened my atm account last June 2, 2016 and they told me that the money will come on June 3 at the afternoon but as I've said earlier it's already June 6 and still nothing
ReplyDeleteRemittance taking too long to get credited to accountHave you told your auntie? Maybe the remittance company she used is not a BPI partner so a third-party was used, and so it's taking a longer time. I hope she wrote your name and account no. correctly. But I hope your remittance will be in your account later today.
DeleteBPI atm withdrawal - no record Good day po, I have an atm account with bpi. I tried withdrawing but the response was "wala kayong record sa bangko". impossible I don't have record with them. was my atm compromised? What should I do? TIA for reply.
ReplyDeleteANSWER:
Is your atm card new? Did you just change your PIN? or did you press the correct account type which is Savings? If none of these, try using the atm again, then if it's the same response, you should go to your branch and ask.
good eve po ask ko lang sana if available pa po bang mag apply nag Easy Savers ngayun? kase nabasa ko lng po to ngayun. at tsaka pwede po bang mag tanong if pwede po ang id na gamitin ay VOTERS ID, at tsaka BARANGAY CLEARANCE lng?
ReplyDeleteHi Mark David, yes, you can apply at BPI or BPI Family. Is your voter's ID the light-blue one? and laminated? Bring also one 1x1 ID picture and any bill in your name or any document to prove your address (some branches require this).
DeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteCan i still use (deposit/withdraw) my easy saver card that i have not used for about 1year? Is there any charge/penalty if i use it again? Im planning to continue using it and deposit savings.. thanks in advance
Hi Tim, there's no penalty, as this is a no-maintaining-balance account. You can re-start using it again. There's a 5-peso fee for atm balance inquiry, atm withdrawal online debit.
DeleteHi po,Ilang days po ba ang processing nang Easy saver card? kasi yung payroll within an hour nakuha ku na agad nag antay lng ako.
ReplyDeleteYes, it's quicker because your employer referred you -- they don't have to ask questions.
DeleteIf you applied on your own, you also would have received your atm card within the hour (if the branch or express center is not busy), as long as you have valid IDs and ID picture (some branches are strict with proof of address). They have the device to emboss your name on the atm card after your application is processed.
good afternoon po, pag nag deposit po ba pwede kong ask sa teller if how much my toatal amount na nasa account ko pag hindi ko dala yung card ko? ty
ReplyDeletebalance inquiry over the counter without atm card: Try asking. Present your ID as you ask. Remember there's banking privacy law so they don't give information if they are not sure you are the account owner.
ReplyDeleteHi!
About student account:
DeleteThis BPI Easy Saver account is good for students because it does not require a maintaining balance. What it does is it charges 5 pesos for every atm withdrawal and every atm balance inquiry. Find a Bank of Philippine Islands or a BPI Savings branch near you. Bring your school ID, birth cert, library ID, proof of address (like phone bill or cable bill or letter from your college or mail with your home address printed or typewritten).
Yes, you can open your own account without your parents' signature. If the bank officer asks why you are opening an account, tell them you need an account for your allowance.
I forgot: bring two 1x1 ID pictures
I have BPI Debit. dito pinapasok yung sahod namin every pay-outs. separated na ko kay company and ang policy for back pay is, card should be active. ano po ba yung instances for deactivation ng card? nagcheck ako kanina, may error message sya. NO ACCOUNT nakasulat. deactivated na ba sya? and what should i do para hindi sya madeactivate? thanks. i hope, masagot yung tanong ko. thanks in advance.
ReplyDeleteBPI payroll account: Try making a balance inquiry again to make sure your account is active. If no longer active, go to the branch of account and ask. Usually now, if a former employee wants to continue using his payroll account, he needs to go to the branch and ask it to be converted to a regular account, which will require a maintaining balance. Ask the maintaining balance so you can maintain it. If it's Bank of the Philippine Islands, their atm-only account requires 3,000 for maintenance.
DeleteGood day! I have read the previous comments here especially about students wanting to open a BPI Easy Saver account, but there wasn't any for those below 18 years of age. I'm turning, by the way, 18 this coming September and I really need the money that will be sent by my parent working abroad for my tuition and monthly allowance.
ReplyDeleteI found out about the BPI or BPI Family Jumpstart Savings (accounts for 18 years below) but what if my birthday comes, do I have to open another account that is for legal age and delete the newly-opened one?
Thanks for your response!
Student bank account:
DeleteHi Himay, since you're almost 18, it might be better if you open the regular atm savings account (3k maintaining balance if at Bank of the Philippine Islands, and 1k maintaining balance if at BPI Family Savings).
If you think you'll not be able to maintain the required balance, apply for a BPI Easy Saver account. Tell them you're going to use it to receive your remittance from abroad. This account is zero-maintaining, but you will be charged 5 pesos for every atm withdrawal and atm balance inquiry. You can enroll it in online banking so you can do your balance inquiry online for free.

Please help. Thankyou. And lastly po pla.. My charge po ba un? Salamat...
ReplyDeleteHi khaycie, in order that your account will not become dormant (2 years without deposit or withdrawal) your family can deposit money to your account over the counter at any BPI branch in the Philippines with NO deposit fee. It's free.
DeleteYou can also send money to your account from abroad. And it's good you have enrolled in BPI online banking so you can check your balance from time to time.
In order that you can withdraw there abroad, you must first call BPI that you're going to use your atm card abroad.
Is your account the one with 3,000-peso maintaining balance? You should maintain 3k in your account to avoid penalty.

ReplyDeleteCan I ask po, what if my BPI Easy Saver Card po is hindi nahulugan starting ng inavail ko sya. Can I still use it? Nun time na nag-open po kasi ako ng account, student palang ako, and that was 3 years ago, now that I am working, can I still use and deposit on it? Thank You!
ReplyDeleteGood day! Just askin'. Can I still use my ATM Card (BPI Easy Saver) though, I haven't deposit any since I open my account. Just the 200. Because that time na nag-open po ako, I was just a student and that was 3 years ago. Never po nasundan ng hulog yun 200. Right now, I am working and I wanted to use it for saving, available or valid pa ba sya na gamitin? Thank You. Hoping for your answers. :)
ReplyDeleteHi madz, your account is already dormant. An account becomes dormant if without deposit or withdrawal within 2 years. You can go to your branch to reactivate it. Bring your IDs. Ask them if there's no penalty for dormancy, just to be sure, although I know there should be no penalty as this account does not require a maintaining balance.
ReplyDeleteAbout card replacement in another branch: Sorry I think another branch will not replace it because your records (the papers that you filled-up and signed when you opened your account) are based in your branch of account.
DeleteIf it's very costly to go back to your original branch, you can withdraw all your money from this account, then open in the sister bank (BPI Family or Bank of Philippine Islands)

10,000 becoming 9001.95:
DeleteIs your account a BPI passbook account which requires a maintaining balance of 10,000 pesos? What is (eps)? Did you use your atm card as a debit card to pay an item you bought at a store or supermarket?
Hi Mam Nora.i just want to ask why did BPI hold my available balance? 5 days ago i received my remittance from hk amounting to 116k and then withdrawed 4k on the first day..and 10k on the 2nd day. so it means available sila. but nubg magwithdraw ulit ako today it says amount not available.but when i balance inquire it it says i have the funds in current but the avaible balance is zero. sabi nubg BPI csr na nkausap ko nkahold daw account funds ko and only the branch manager can explain it.but WHY do they have to hold ot for what reason? considering im a client for almost 8 years..is it possible because they cant contact me for the number i gave was lost? is it enough reason to hold my money? ngayon ko lang naexperience skanila to.
ReplyDelete102k from Hong Kong was put on hold: I'm not sure but I think the branch wants you to visit them with your IDs and update your personal data with them. As you've said they are not able to call you because your phone no. with them is not updated.
DeleteThese things like updating all arose from the recent money-laundering scandal that involved RCBC. Banks have been mandated to improve their knowledge of clients. BPI's website (Branch Locator) has the phone nos. of the branches.
do i really have to be there personally? branch is in Pampanga while I am based in Palawan now. well i wish nothing so serious about it and hopefully to get acess on my funds right away. thabk u very much Madam
DeleteI hope you're able to call the branch manager tomorrow, and I hope they'll just ask you questions for verification, and then make your money available.
DeleteHi Mam Nora..funds are ok now. just curious the reason why they hold the funds is that the funds are not physically transfer yet but they are transferred and to think i already got some part of the amount before they say they are not yet in the bank acct. confusing! and teally in my more or less 9 years of remittance experience this just happened only now.. anyway thank u for the response..makes me relieved from overthinking til i get connected to them.thank u!
DeleteThat's great you already have your money. I think they told you the safest answer, as they could have faced a liability if they held your money and you lost a deal or your cheque bounced.
DeleteAs wise men say, all is well that ends well. Have a nice day! And thanks for sharing info.
Hi po, nka receive po ako ngayon nag notice sa bpi, dormant na daw ngayon yung account ko na easy saver dahil 2 years na nawalang laman at walang transaction (april 30 po po yung date na ginawa ang notice) my penalty daw po na 200 every month so tanong ko lng po kung yung penalty po ba last month lng nag umpisa kasi last 2 months kobpa sanang balak e reactivate yubg account ko kaso nag aalinglangan po ako baka mataas na yung penalty. Nasira po ksi yung card ko so i know na pwede pong palitan yung card.
ReplyDeleteHi znog 28, if you will be charged 200 pesos per month for dormancy penalty, the penalty will start on the 25th month you did not have transaction. You can visit your branch with your IDs and ask if you are really required to pay a dormancy penalty every month from month of dormancy to reactivate your account. Ask the total amount, then decide. You can reactivate, or you can decide not to. You can open another Easy Saver account in another bank (BPI Family or Bank of Philippine Islands). When you get a new account, maintain it so that it does not get dormant.
ReplyDeleteNo expiration. But if you don't have a deposit or withdrawal within 24 months, your account will become dormant. It will be put on hold until you go to the branch and reactivate it. They could impose a monthly dormancy penalty.
DeleteHello po.. i have been trying to figure out the differenc3 of total balance and available balance. Nagtransfer po kasi aq online and it was indeed successful. Naka register po both yung account ko,. I transferred from my payroll sa easy savers account..pero nasa total balamce palang poxa.. pero pag trinasfer q from easy savers to my payroll acount.. pasok po agad sa account hindi sa total balance. Pano po un? Makukuha q pa ba ung trinansfer q? Thank you.
That it will be available the next day. Try transferring it back from Easy Saver to payroll.
Next time siguro, don't transfer the whole amount. Iwanan mo yong panggasto mo. I-transfer mo lang yong amount that you plan to save.
Tama yan, you have an account for payroll and expenses, and another account for your savings.
If you like, mag-apply ka ng new postal ID, yong digitized na, hindi yong nila-laminate.
DeleteItong new postal ID at barangay certificate, plus your bill and ID pictures, puede na sa BPI account opening. I hope maka-open ka na and I hope ibalita mo rito. Thanks
Huwag birthday, huwag address or huwag 1234. I-ready mo rin yong 4-digit na binigay sa yo ng BPI -- it's in the paper where your atm card was attached.
1. Insert your BPI atm card in any BPI ATM
2. Choose English or Taglish
3. Select "Change PIN" from the ATM Menu
4. Change PIN. You will be prompted to enter your new 4-digit PIN two times.
5. Enter your pre-nominated PIN found on the card carrier
6. Wait till you see "You have successfully changed your PIN."
ReplyDeletewala din palang maintaining balance...hope to hear from you.
ReplyDeletethanks
: Your payroll account is just like a regular account, so there's no charge if you withdraw or make balance inquiry at a BPI atm.
DeleteThere's also no charge if you transfer funds using your BPI online account to another BPI account.
Yes, there's no maintaining balance requirement for you because it's your company which is maintaining a balance in its corporate account.
Good day! I have an Easy Saver's account and I'd like to enroll other BPI accounts for easier deposits , and for others to be able to deposit to my account.
ReplyDeleteSo there is a fee of P5 whenever online transactions are made? Such as account to account transfers, and my account to my BPI debit card? But that P5 would be charged to my account, right?
What about when others deposit into my account, would there also be a small fee (of how much?) and would that fee be charged to my account or theirs?
Like, is there a "receiving/sending" charge for the account I'll be transacting with or would the fees be charged only to my account?
and would these online transactions be enough to keep my account from going dormant?
Thank you! :)

First job ko po kasi and I tried withdrawing my salary through atm(bpi) i choose curernt acount po while checking my balance and it says 'no account'. d po ako sure kung ano dapat yung pindutin ko if its a payroll acct,. may nakalagay po dun na savings, current, prepaid and credit account. saan po ba din nagfofall ang payroll acct?thanks po.
ReplyDeleteType of account of payroll account: Hi Zj Your type of account is SAVINGS.
DeleteCURRENT is for a checking account. PREPAID is for a cash card or prepaid card (BPI Express Cash or BPI My ePrepaid Mastercard). CREDIT is for a credit card.
ReplyDeleteHi po is it still active after 5months not used?
ReplyDeleteHi Joan Trixia: Yes, your Easy Saver is still active. Make sure you deposit or withdraw at least once a year so it will remain active. The account becomes dormant if there's no deposit or withdrawal within 24 months. Maintain your account so that you don't have to open a new account if this gets closed. Try your best to save money.
Deletehi, can i ask if i can use easy saver, to transfer my check from another bank to bpi express teller international?
ReplyDeletehi!, can i transfer funds (check *cheque) from another bank to BPI express teller international? hope you help me with this.
ReplyDeleteHi Sundaymorning: are you asking if you can deposit a check issued by another bank to your BPI Easy Saver account? Yes, you can deposit a check from a non-BPI bank to your BPI Easy Saver account
DeleteHi, I just want to ask.
DeleteHi goodmorning. I am a student, and firstime ko lang mag open ng account in BPI. I opened the Easy Saver account in BPI then I forgot my pin number. :( Tapos naitago ko pa yung parang pinaglagyan ng ATM then I saw yung pin number dun?
At meron ding deadline yan.
DeleteBut if you're not sure if you have changed your default PIN, try mo din lang to change that default PIN. Kung hindi na puede, ang remedyo lang is to go to your branch and ask what to do if you forgot your PIN. Usually ngayon, hindi naretrievable ang PIN, so ang remedy is to have a new atm card to replace your current card. Now, think of a 4-digit number na you won't forget, but others will not be able to guess.
Secure these phones. Put passwords for opening.
Deletefirst time ko lang kasi install yung app knina tapos nagregister ako. kaya baka nadalawa kasi nagpasa ako ng fatc at cis sa bpi at nilagay ko dun sa form na I want to have mobile banking so baka sila na mismo ng register for me.
Deletethanks!
Punta ka lang sa branch mo with your IDs and reactivate it. Make also a deposit.
DeleteKung wala pang 24 months, make a deposit asap para hindi ma-dormant, at para magamit mo.
