Hi Steven, there’s no PNB banking branch in Houston. What’s there is a remittance center: PNB Remittance Center. You can ask them though about opening a Philippine-based PNB Direct Deposit account for your US pension and for assistance. You can also open a Direct Deposit account at a PNB branch here in the Philippines upon arrival. Depending on your situation and based on recent developments where there are US checks that might be sent to you later on like tax refunds, stimulus checks, insurance proceeds, or US bills to be paid, etc, you might want to consider maintaining your present US bank account including its online/mobile banking. PNB Direct Deposit account is passbook account only, with transactions only by account owner in person, can be peso or US dollar. With most banks in the Philippines, they accept US checks for clearing only if your account is a US dollar account.
